It’s not the payments to daniels that are illegal, it’s the alleged misprepresenting them on the company books. Has that happened in the last two years so as to be inside the statute? Absolutely not. The Ferderal Election Commission was investigating this in 2018, and they most certainly did not keep doing any alleged wrongdoing after that.
