Ok, but I’ve been following this case like a hawk and I’ve never heard that. Remember in any event…. It’s not the payments to daniels that are illegal, it’s the alleged misprepresenting them on the company books. Has that happened in the last two years so as to be inside the statute? Absolutely not. The Ferderal Election Commission was investigating this in 2018, and they most certainly did not keep doing any alleged wrongdoing after that.
I can’t remember the conversation on the news now, but do remeber that something that happened extended the statute to 5 years or 7- I wish I had paid more attention. The left are claiming that something that was done extended it out, and that a few were “within the limits of 2 years” or,somehting. It was on Newsmax and 2 lawyer weighed in on it- one was dershowitz, who has been known to be wrong at times, but he still feels that even if they did extend it, the left still have no case (but he did correctly state that his opinion is based on what little he knows so,far of the case). The other lawyer, I can’t remeber his name, he was a Trump lawyer I beleive, stated that the 2 years and the extension were why they were trying to go forward with themcase, but he too said there isn’t a case there and that the left are wrong about the time limit.
I hope this all backfires on the left Billy! Even CNN and some of their rabid ilk are shaking their heads and stating it’s a very bad move
