Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed legislation Monday making Florida the 26th constitutional carry state in the Union.
This means the majority of states in the USA are constitutional carry.
The NRA tweeted:

The Tampa Bay Times reported the new law takes effect July 1, 2023.

I feel I will see that on this thread. (S)
It’s not true Constitutional carry as it doesn’t permit open carry...but it is progress and sometimes you have to take the victory you can have and wait for the one you want.
Florida keeps getting better. Now, on to allowing open carry.
The legislature voted it down this year, they’re enough RINO Republicans from Central and South Florida who are still unsure of open carry, I’ve said in the past I wouldn’t open carry but don’t care if others do, it’s a personal preference.
His globalist, deep state masters want Constitional Carry. It’s the only explanation.
If I can buy a firearm, I can now carry it concealed. But an AR-15 is a little hard to jam down your pantleg...
I live in Wyoming where you can open carry whatever you want to carry and no one much cares except the occasional tourist.
He’s doing all sorts of stuff that seems positioned for a primary run
Yes you will....they’ll be along directly.

+1. Personally I think open carry is generally counter-productive and, in many cases, downright dumb. One good reason to have open carry is to avoid “gotcha” issues in areas where even law enforcement is hostile to carrying, for example your concealed weapon is momentarily revealed due to “wardrobe malfunction”, removing your jacket, etc.
ROFL!!!
And if he vetoed it, you’d bitch about that too.
DeSantis has been called a closet RINO and beholden to the Bushes and Deep State.
I wish we had 49 more DeSantis governors around the country.
YES! "Printing" and "flashing" is only a problem when open carry is forbidden.
Question for Floridians.
I let my Florida nonresident CCW expire a few years ago. Do I no longer need one?
What does “open carry” mean in regards to pistols? Holstered pistols? Surely it’s not okay for non-LE to walk the streets gun-in-hand anywhere.
Meanwhile Trump on Red Flag laws:
“We’re going to take the firearms first and then go to court, because that’s another system. Because a lot of times by the time you go to court ... it takes so long to go to court to get the due process procedures. I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida; he had a lot of fires [and] they saw everything. To go to court would have taken a long time, so you could do exactly what you’re saying but take the guns first, go through due process second.”
Good for Gov. DeSantis.
This was the right thing to do.
Kentucky here
We are now constitutional carry, but for some years open carry was legal but concealed required a permit - interesting.
I’m not a fan of open carry myself except under certain circumstances. However, I spent a lot of time on a motorcycle, mostly in the country but some in the city. Depending on what I’m going to be doing that day I wear open carry on the bike because I like the outside the waistbound holster for comfort, however because I’m geared up it’s not particularly visible anyway.
Despite being constitutional carry here I maintain my concealed carry permit since it’s recognized in so many other states. And I am making the assumption that law enforcement would consider me more responsible since there is some training required for a concealed carry permit, as well as the fact that I have to have a clean record in order to have the permit.
We’ve been out in small groups of three or four Riders and had occasion to talk with cops at a stop and none of them have bat an eye at us carrying.
You’ll shoot your...eye off.
