Country music superstar Reba McEntire used an interview to once again disavow an interest in politics and commit herself instead to entertaining her audiences before immediately saying she was “disappointed” in Tennessee anti-drag laws, adding “God bless ’em for wearing those heels” as a salute to transgender exponents.
McEntire sat down with Mikael Wood from the Los Angeles Times for the exchange.
After initial pleasantries and a recap of the career highlights for the 68-year-old singer, the topic turned to transgenderism. This is what followed:

BTW, while I enjoyed Reba’s sitcom, it was rather strange how she embraced her ex-husband’s new wife and pretty much welcomed Barbra Jean into the family unit.
Reba’s country bit is as fake as they come. She sounded so stupid in the 80’s trying to be country it was laughable. But Nashville accepted her and here we are. Another liberal go along fake country girl!

Shame. I used to like Reba. I saw her perform at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo twice and enjoyed those shows.
No more Reba for me. I haven’t seen or heard her anywhere in ages anyway.
