Or they are made by solo.
Who knows.
I shop at ‘Save A Lot’ toward the end of the month and Publix the other weeks. Save A Lot has the best prices on canned goods, fresh pork, ham, chicken and frozen veggies. Their beef is so cheep it’s not edible...and their eggs are dreadful. And yeah, we all have to be more careful now. Always nice to know while it’s so much harder for us that the fool Biden is gifting billions to Ukraine. He’s such a jerk. Worst President Ever...
“The basic McDonalds hamburger patty is as small as it is possible to make...”
Steak ‘n’ Shake and Culver’s are good choices in the midwest. Steak ‘n’ Shake’s Wisconsin Butter Curger is better than Culver’s even though that is Culver’s Flagship product. Their chili is worst in class, though.
I noticed that about the Filet-o-Fish a few years back.
Used to be my once per Lent Friday “splurge”, but last time I bought one I said it would be the last time.
The original McDonalds fries are cooked in Beef Tallow. Order some and relive your youth.
All I know is bought a bunch of stock in mcdonalds every year from 1995-2000. Between 10 and 20 dollars and now a share is 269. I’m honestly shocked!!!! They are doing incredible well! No need for layoffs.
Depending on the size on the RIF, their stock should pop up higher. Employee reduction is always good for the bottom line - at least for now...
FJB’s ‘conomy just keeps on chooglin’ along. sarc/
Layoffs by the thousands.
The clowns in this “country” are getting what they deserve for electing this perverted azho. Mail order “presidents” suck as bad as Kenyan U.S. Presidents do.
That is what I am hearing....due to China and Brazil striking a deal to ditch dollar for trade!!!!!!
The company I worked for in Reno laid me off twice.
Sorta goes with being a contractor, finish an assignment, you're laid off. Successfully finish an assignment, you're rehired when they need new stuff done!
> Bugging out of Chicago?<
That’s how I see it. Possibly also bugging out of the US for a more tax friendly country. Ireland?
EC
This is about STAFF at in offices, NOT about the restaurants, which are owned by people, NOT the company/McDonald's!
And there are all kinds of different kinds of jobs ( not burger flippers! ) in many different categories.
>”Fired” now implies personal fault. I was “laid off” last summer, and my manager and her director volunteered glowing recommendations.
Congrats and you’re right; and so was Reno. The older meaning of “laid off” was a temporary end to paid work schedules as might happen if a factory needed retooling or work needed to slow down but employees were expected to be needed again. In that era, employment was more of a familial or career two-way loyalty arrangement which is gone.
Now, “laid off” means “terminated without cause” and carries no stigma and often recommendations if the employer has any integrity; maybe even severance.
“Fired” now carries the same implication you used, Dr. Sivana, of “terminated with cause,” in the popular usage. HR people use the longer term of course. Any severance pay here is usually only what’s obligatory (e.g. if state law requires they pay you unused leave).
Unemployment is a different animal and applies in either case, but not if one chose to stop working.
Oh really! I like that you invested relatively small amounts over a few years time. As I age, five years is feeling the way two years used to.
I may need to borrow your plan.
The COVID fear shut down the economy (that was nuts) and then Congress showered the country with FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS (that was ultra nuts) igniting inflation we haven’t seen in 40 years. Now we all pay the price for years of all that insanity.
I worked at McD’s as a teen in the late 80’s when the food was good. The 4:1 meat these days is so noticably smaller and theres more gristle in it (lower quality beef). I refuse to eat there. Plus...$12 for a QP/Fries/Coke? Nope.

George W. Bush is all on board with all of that.
Globalist Elitist jerk that he is.
