Jeb Bush Defends Trump, Blasts Alvin Bragg’s Case: ‘Very Political, Not a Matter of Justice’

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) defended his 2016 rival, former President Donald J. Trump, on Saturday, calling Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against him “very political.”

“Bragg’s predecessor didn’t take up the case. The Justice Department didn’t take up the case. Bragg first said he would not take up the case,” Bush tweeted.

“This is very political, not a matter of justice. In this case, let the jury be the voters,” he added.

Governor Bush,

I'm really glad that you're speaking out against this.
They will be going after more than just President Trump.

“Would not say to the right of DeSantis, just more mature.”

That’s fair, and I agree, Jeb certainly isn’t to the right of DeSantis overall, but he definitely knows when NOT to say something, particularly given what Jeb must think of Trump.

Every one of these political insiders, regardless of what they say in public, are praying this stops Trump.

Maybe they realize New York’s case against Trump is weak and gave up praying.

You folks are missing something again. The GOP is not through with the Bush’s. You see we’ve all had enough of Cornyn. Cruz should stay right where he’s at if we’re lucky. If not 2 senate Seats will be up soon. Beto is lurking. We may need to turn to G. Paul Bush as a last resorrt-then what? At least this one is not too bad.

Just a thought, should Trump say “Jeb, about the low energy thing, I didn’t really mean it. Let’s be friends.”

Maybe not.

I think the GOP will control the House and Senate in 2025. The White House is much less likely.

Actually, I think they realize if these goons can persecute Trump endlessly like this, they can do the same thing to any one of them. It's becoming their fight, too.

You DeSantisites are just delusional if you think your man has a better shot at winning than Trump. The same cheating mechanisms used to defeat Trump in 2020 would be used on DeSantis too.

I lived in Florida when Jeb was governor. Other than the Terry Schiavo case I found him to be a very good governor.

I have heard that Jeb was the Bush son George H.W. Bush was pushing to run for president. Timing was projected to be the election of 2000 when Clinton would be leaving office and Jeb would have served at least one full term as governor of Florida. . However, Jeb lost his first race for Governor of Florida in 1994. The same year Jeb’s brother George W. Bush won his race for Governor of Texas. This put him ahead of Jeb for the 2000 presidential run even though Jeb did win the 1998 campaign for governor of Florida.

I don’t trust any of the Bush’s either. I think Jeb drew the short straw to come out and make a comment about this. They want to keep their name in the news for the future of George Bush, IMO.
