Sorry I was considering DeSantis and actually leaning heaving toward him, but after Trump being indicted I’m 100% on the Trump Train again.

Regardless of what the law requires, if DeSantis wins the 2024 presidential election, he would have to resign from the governorship anyway. The real question is what happens if he loses.
If it’s so important that the law is changed, that means that DeSantis and his supporters in the legislature aren’t confident that he will be able to win.
What’s the big deal? Only five states have resign to run laws. This guarantees DeSantis’s governorship if he runs for president but does not win. Sounds good to me!

Everybody knows that this is only going to make Trump more popular with the GOP - he was sagging in the polls (other than those taken by Truth Social, his org) -but now even people who detest him will vote for him. He raised $4 million yesterday.
Surely the Dems must have realized this would happen. So what is their game? Make sure Trump will be the candidate because the think even Biden could probably win against him in the general election?
