This was on their agenda long before a Trump indictment was even talked about. As if the Trump indictment hasn't been planned for a long time.
The Trump indictment just came clear out of the blue. Who could have seen it coming? Right?

I don’t disagree with your sentiment, but having the advantage of hindsight now that I did not possess 30 years ago, the thing that screwed us the most was “bi-partisanship” and the “uniparty”.
There are far too many bi-partisans who are labeled as conservative.
The “uniparty” is full of conservatives.
When the opposition is dead wrong about something and you meet them halfway and compromise constantly are you going in the right or wrong direction?
This, along with the complacent and ignorant citizenry you point out, is how we got to where we are at now.

Of course, they have no clue that if DeSantis wins the nomination, the grand jury will look into him next.

So what? Texas did the same for LBJ.
And Arkansas went from two year to four year cycles for Bill Clinton to accommodate his run.

Look at Florida. DeSantis appealed to voters outside of his base. Trump has his base right now and that's it. His bone headed antics have alienated everyone else who may have considered voting for him since 2016. If you're the head coach, you're putting Trump on the bench. DeSantis is going in now. Yet in my supposed blue suburban and urban congressional district the unabashedly pro Trump candidate won by 8 points.
Add to that 75 million Trump votes says that you are wrong.

I don’t support Vivek R., but he presented very well on Jordan Peterson’s podcast. He is a fresh addition to the primaries and will help keep Trump on message, I hope.

No criticism from me, whatever suits best is great.
Me?
I like lots of info, seeing the candidates perform under pressure, and how professionally and effectively they inter-react with all players.

One of the keys to Trump’s success has been his enormous appeal among registered DEMOCRATS. I can tell you right now that no candidate peddled by the establishment GOP is ever going to have that kind of traction among those voters.

This is the plan. The ruling class do not want outsiders.
They want lawyers turned professional career politicians...Those who can’t even remotely relate to what’s left of the middle class.
Get rid of Trump by any means necessary, is the name of their game.

LBJ, Clinton and now DeSantis.
It had nothing to do with presidential candidates, but I also remember the Dems in New Jersey changed a rule judt before an election to deal with a Dem Senator in kegal trouble. Unfortunately, these transparent ploys don’t backfire typically.

But something else is.

I was open to DeSantis, but there has been FAR TOO MUCH lately regarding him (letting Disney off the hook, kicking Trump when he was down, and signing on with the Neocons regarding starting WW3 in Ukraine), that I simply won’t vote for him.
However, if Trump is viable, he gets my vote - a no-brainer, but if not Vivek, at this point, gets my vote.
