Been hearing the pundits decry this as a dangerous precedent in future events. alvin ‘chipmunk’ bragg will have his day in court with likely a hand picked judge etc. The democommies couldn’t care less about a “precedent” being set because they know they will never be subjected to said “precedent”. Think anyone will be held to account for the CONvid scamdemic? But make a sarcastic meme about hildabeast and voting and BOOM! Ten years.

“...or even for allegedly obstructing the special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, which many once thought was the best avenue prosecutors had to ensnare the former president.”

Still blaming the victim, I see. And he’s not even transgender.

I can’t wait until the GOP firest the big guns at our CCP bought and paid for president Biden and admin. /s

when Mr. Trump paid the adult film star Stormy Daniels to prevent her from going public with a story about an affair she said they had while Mr. Trump was married.

Wrong. Cohen paid her with his own money and he was not reimbursed.

What’s interestingly missing in all these self-reflective reports of the indictment is the lack of comparison to the Biden and Clinton crime family crimes.

There is this worry that it sets a “dangerous president,” rather than a concern that those within the Clinton, Biden and Democrat crime families are literally getting away with committing multiple federal and local crimes. Those crimes actually include corruption and espionage against the United States, as well as sexual assault and rape of women. Yet the MSM are all focused on DJT executing a legal NDA with two persons who engaged in consentual, legal sex, who were paid and accepted payment to not discuss the activities. Has anybody see any of the Fifty Shades movies? NDAs have been used for a long, long time for all sorts of purposes, including sexual activities.

Unfortunately, as always, we’re preaching to the choir here. None of those evil bastards will ever be held accountable for what they’ve done . .

They don’t seem to understand, or care, that a great many well equipped people will not take kindly to the persecution of our president.

Its only dangerous if the GOP grow a pair and play hardball. Except for a very few in the party, they’ve never shown the willingness to do as much.

Start the grand juries with Gun Running by Obama (we have a TX AG), Biden’s in Cartel Support (TX IG), Any city or state Biden flew in Illegals (illegally), Any city or state where Hunter used cocaines and transported prostitutes, Any city or state Bill Clinton is accused of sexual assault (long list), any city or state with a Dem associated with Eipstein, etc...

Indict a hundred ham sandwiches (in the form of Democrats).

However, we know the Republicans are nothing but gutless, spineless cowards and will do nothing.

Here is tne NY Slimes saying categorically that Trump paid Stormy Daniles money. He didn’t. Cohen did likely to cover up his own indiscretion. Daniels was a client of Cohen and he stole money from.

Money quote:

” (The details of what the indictment contains remain unknown — its contents will be unsealed after Mr. Trump turns himself in...”

Everyone COULD be right, but no one has read the indictment! It is SEALED!

Lets all wait and see WHAT he is actually is charged with.

Trump said, I believe, that an indictment would unleash death and destruction, and people got their pantes in a was over that.

But he is right. Might not happen immediately, but you can’t destroy the legal system of a nation, make a mockery of it, and expect things to continue as normal. People will start taking matters into their own hands, the evil and the good. Yes, this indictment will eventuate into death and destruction.

Apparently some conservatives don’t know the difference between an NYT Editorial and a Guest Opinion column, of which this is the latter.

What’s to stop a conservative DA from indicting any number of Democrats for egregious civil rights violations in connection with January 6th or gun rights?

I’m a lawyer based in Washington, D.C., a contributing editor for New York magazine, and a contributing writer for Politico magazine. I’ve also written for a bunch of other places — including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The New York Review of Books, The New Republic, The Atlantic, TIME, USA Today, WIRED, Slate, The American Prospect, and the Columbia Journalism Review. I’ve done legal commentary for various TV, print, and radio outlets, as well as other types of speaking engagements.

I was previously a federal prosecutor who specialized in financial fraud and white-collar crime until early 2020. Before that, I worked at a law firm in New York City doing standard law firm things in both commercial litigation and white-collar corporate defense. I clerked for a judge in the Southern District of New York, and I graduated from Columbia University with a law degree and a B.A.

He doesn't sound like a conservative, but he's right, the door has been fling wide open. If we regain power, we can start indicting them all because if their precedence.

Don’t get mad, get even. When we finally regain control, go after the real crimes by the Clinton and Biden crime families. Then their top-tier underlings. Then their staffers, then…

This sentence phrase gives the game away: “...many once thought was the best avenue prosecutors had to ensnare the former president.”

Justice in our legal system fails when prosecutors, egged on by politicians and the media, attempt to “ensnare” a political opponent. This is the road to tyranny.
