After recovering from the 'initial shock' of a grand jury indictment against him, President Trump is now raging about the judge who is expected to preside over the case.
Trump, 76, will be arraigned in Manhattan at 2.15pm on Tuesday on an array of business fraud charges relating to 2016 hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.
He has denied any wrongdoing, and says he is the victim of a politically-motivated witch hunt led by the famously Democratic Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
Yesterday, Judge Juan Merchan was spotted arriving at the Manhattan criminal courthouse in casual clothes last night flanked by two security officers, leading many to believe that he has been chosen for the case.
Merchan previously presided over the Trump Organization fraud trial, where the family business was fined $1.2million on a range of charges.
On Friday morning, Trump took to Truth Social to complain that Merchan 'hates' him and had been 'handpicked' by Bragg and his cronies.

He will probably make more in donations than this will ever cost him. It’s not going to destroy his reputation, it’s already pretty low to begin with. This stunt by the DA probably handed him the nomination.

You can’t change the venue for a trial on NY state charges to Florida. You might be able to get it moved out of Manhattan, but good luck getting a NY judge to go along.
Well there is the fact that he is indicted. There is a fact he felt the need to pay off a porn actress rather than telling her to go pound sand (he was aware of the payment). There is the fact that it isn’t the first time he was accused of such behavior.
I believe that the DA way overreached in this and will be a fact.
