Florida Will Not Assist In An Extradition Request Given The Questionable Circumstances At Issue With This Soros-Backed Manhattan Prosecutor And His Political Agenda
Twitter ^ | 03/30/23 | Ron DeSantis

Posted on 03/30/2023 4:10:00 PM PDT by Enlightened1

The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head.

It is un-American.

The Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct. Yet, now he is stretching the law to target a political opponent.

Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda.

This is a state charge. He didn’t flee the state to avoid prosecution.

I don’t see where they have any jurisdiction to do anything, other than contact one of the US Marshal or FBI task force’s in Florida that is made up, almost entirely, of local cops.

He isn’t back on track. He wet his finger and put it in the air.

He’s getting destroyed by the man. And he’s figured out that pissing off the base of Pres Trump ain’t gonna help him.

In the realm of crazy ideas, if Trump is hell bent on going to NY, send a large contingent of FL National Guard to escort/protect him. Go one step further, give the guard orders to arrest Bragg. Drag is ass back to Florida for trial.

Won’t happen, but it would make one hell of a movie plot.

Leave it to Ron a DeSantis to take a meaningless, ineffective stand like this.

Donald Trump has probably decided to charter a massive cruise ship and sail into New York harbor for his arraignment hearing.

It's good politics for DeSantis to make that statement, but in reality DeSantis and the rest of President Trump's opponents would like nothing better than for him to hide in Florida to fight extradition. In effect he would be a prisoner unable to travel around the US to campaign.

President Trump will let them arraign him and then continue to campaign while awaiting trial in the kangaroo court.

“No, they’ll say it’s weak, doesn’t go far enough, he had to do it to save face, doesn’t name Trump, blah, blah. blah…yaddayaddayadda….”

Yep, they already beat you to it upthread. They’re ever-vigilant lol.

They should!

Every Red State attorney general should issue an arrest warrant for Alvin Bragg for violation of the law.

Then subpoena NY State for extradition.

Make up charges (a misdemeanor into a felony?) like he did.

Could Ron DeSantis stop Trump’s arrest?

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/florida-governor-ron-desantis-trump-arrested-b2307339.html

Actually, no. See Article IV, Section 2, Clause 2 of the US Constitution:

A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on Demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.

This is BS....It would mean Trump couldn’t leave Florida without risk.

Not going to happen. Trump said bring it on. Lets have an arrest on live TV. Bring it on.

Ca started years ago, boycotting “discriminatory” states (state funds for travel, etc, can’t be spent there).

The question regarding DeSantis is what it’s always been. What motivates him? Is he truly committed to the MAGA agenda and honest government, or is he just playing the part for political gain? Last week, he made it clear that he’s more than willing to get on the wrong side of an issue if he thinks it’s politically advantageous (i.e. his comments to Piers Morgan dismissing Trump’s stolen election claims, and his mischaracterization of the events surrounding J6). If he’s willing to change his position in one direction, for political advantage, then he’s certainly able to move in the other direction if he thinks it’s politically expedient.

In this instance, DeSantis said the right thing. But do I trust him? No. The question everyone needs to ask themselves is, do they want a president who needs polls and consultants to decide what’s right and wrong, or one whose principles guide him?
