A Las Vegas man is calling for squatters rights to be updated after several squatters moved into his mother’s California home.
Flash Shelton, founder of the United Handyman Association, said he was staked outside of his mother's home waiting to see when the squatters would leave before taking action.
Shelton explained that as soon as he saw the squatters pull out of the driveway, he entered the residence and began installing security cameras. He told the two women who returned to get their stuff out of the home or he would take it out himself.

The squatters were renters that refused to leave?
Tonight I got into an altercation with some spanish-language gentlemen. They were trying to muscle on me to make do something I did not want to do. (An uber thing where drivers come together to create a surge that passengers must pay).
I said no.
Then they pressed on. I said it again. I told them to leave me alone.
They approached the door to make their points clearer. I again, told them to leave me alone. They would not.
I had two choices. I could get out of the car and chase them away. Now a short white guy against 3 gringos may not go as planned, but thanks to John Moses Browning, Hallowed be his name, I was not going to be a victim. But, I have a problem at this point.
You see, I would have been the assailant. I had to merely roll up my window and sheepishly retreat. I did want to. I had to.
I called airport security (This airport was recently made infamous in a national article detailing how uber drivers are robbing customers) and I called Uber support.
Both were a waste of time.
Then I thought about a third option - one that many may also be thinking. Pepper spray and brass knuckles.
I was too late, but I think I have my answer. Ain’t no one going to make this right. If you want it to be right, you gotta make it right. Just make it look good for the cameras.
It is democrat party government who is the enemy here by allowing outright theft to occur with no punishment. This dereliction forces citizens to act on their own.
And just like everything, Republicans sit on their hands.
You can’t blame one party for a corrupt government.
“Squatter” is just another word for “thief”.
You refused to participate in this improper driver meeting and the other drivers used intimidation tactics to try to force you to participate.
Good for you.
Your observation that there is little or no help or protection offered to the good guy in our society is valid.
Uber drivers are particularly vulnerable (to violence and unfair compensation) because of the terms of their contracts and the fact that they operate on PUBLIC roads.
I hope you can pursue your private business enterprise without damage to you or your property, and suggest you research carefully, ALL types of weapons laws in your state when deciding how to defend yourself.
