The Russians withdrew from Kherson after defending it successfully for months. The cost to Ukraine in men and materiel attacking across an open plain was immense. Even Western propaganda outlets reported on this.

I would expect significant partisan activity behind the Russian front, as well as raiding parties etc. Not that that adds up to a “counteroffensive” however.
