Jason Chaffetz Goes OFF on ‘Absolutely Horrific!’ Trump Sitdown With Hannity: ‘Worst Interview I’ve Seen’ Him Do
Mediaite via MSN ^ | 28 Mar 23 | Colby Hall

As Fox News opinionators struggle with the WrestleManiacal battle between former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, it’s interesting to see where prominent conservatives on the cable news network land. Evidenced by searing criticism from former GOP Congressman turned Fox News host, we can take Jason Chaffetz out of the Trump column.

Trump returned to Fox News airwaves for a formal interview with host and political ally Sean Hannity for a Mar-a-Lago interview which aired Monday night. Some may have confused the Q&A with a Festivus celebration as there was no shortage of grievance airing, which has been Trump’s steez of late.

Fox & Friends brought on a panel of conservatives to review the interview, which was largely predictable morning show pablum, but Chaffetz took his shot.

Brian Kilmeade asked his guest, “Jason, you said overall you thought President Trump did a very poor job in the interview. Why?”

PROGRAMMING NOTE: What follows may not be appropriate for hardcore Trump followers or anyone prone to use the term ‘RINO’ in their political critiques. Nevertheless, Chaffetz dropped a bomb:

I thought Sean Hannity did a good job. But I watched that and I thought, where is Donald Trump? I voted for Donald Trump twice. I have defended him countless times. I thought he was horrific. I think that was the worst interview I’ve seen the president do. He was whining. He was complaining. He played the victim card. Time and time again. And then after that, he complained that, you know, somebody had endorsed was now running against him. And I. I thought he was absolutely horrific. He’s the former president of the United States. Act like it. He didn’t in that interview.

It would be credible except we all know what FOX and Rupert are up to. So, that pretty much makes this useless pap.

Let's do this and skip the money quote "And then after that, he complained that, you know, somebody had endorsed was now running against him."

So Chafitz joins the GOPeers pushing deSantis as their candidated and trashing Trump. They are all tools.

Thank goodness this is not the Trump from 2016. That Trump believed that he could work within the system, reach out to adversaries and govern for the good of America.

He trusted snakes, weasels, and evil, corrupt men like Chaffetz, the ones who perpetuate the destruction of America, and in reality hate normal, patriotic Americans.

But Trump was wrong, utterly wrong. He got twisted and tormented by traitors belonging to the uniparty.

Now he is righteously angry. GOOD! So am I.

Crush cabal, destroy deep state.

I don’t watch Hannity, so son’t care. Trump riffed pretty good in Waco.

Chafetz should focus in Biden’s performance in his last 1 hour interview. When was that? 2010?

So they change their tone - not Russiagate Russiagate, but rather the, “well is he still sound, not his former self” line of attack.

I never thought much about Chafetz before, but now I know he is a slimeball whose words are poison.

Trump is shooting across the bow of every politician he has endorsed with his criticism of DeSantis.

The warning that no one who is disloyal will serve in his administration is the most silencing statement Trump can make now.

Certainly not. The Trump of 1916 no longer exists. We now have a Trump hardened and at war with the forces of darkness that have assaulted him since 2016. He has been impeached an insane number of times and had a magnificent election stolen from him by a cabal of politicians, operatives, crooks, and corrupt cowardly judges. He has been the target of an endless parade of criminal investigations.
The man has not been given one day of peace. His family has been assaulted. His supporters are in jail by the thousands. He has been driven to have but one way out. He must be at war with his enemies.
I know, as do those who love him, that the war he fights is for the soul of our nation. I will grant him moments of bitterness. It is astounding to me that he is able to maintain a positive, hopeful vision and a desire to purge our nation of its corruption.

We aren't the same country largely because of the feckless politicians GOP'ers push forward every election cycle. People should stick with Biden. As long as he can fog up a mirror, arrangements will be made for his reelection.

Yep. Now he knows what a snake pit he's going into. Frankly, we need a clean sweep of DC.

If he expects to win 2024 Trump had better damn well learn that FOX is not his friend especially the snake Hannity.....

Trump’s building a case against the deep state.

I’m OK with that tactic - because it’s the truth. As far as trashing DeSantis, I’d like him to back off some on that. But it’s better for him to air that out now - than later when folks with more general interest are showing up. My dream ticket? Trump/DeSantis...

Please show me where Trump has learned a single lesson.

His endorsement of McCarthy and Ronna McDaniel? Those are swamp creatures.

His support for Dr Azz and Herschel Walker? They are leftists.

His inability to create a new strategy in 2022 to combat ballot harvesting? Oh, he talks about it now, but has done nothing.

His constant fundraising and keeping the money? Like the 2022 midterms where McConnell's Senate campaign PAC gave more to Trump-endorsed candidates than Trump's own PAC?

His millions fundraised off the arrest that never happened?

Sorry, but being angy is not enough if you don't have a plan and Trump does not have a plan.

Chaffetz, Ingraham, Miranda Divine, etc……..gee you might get the impression they’re reading off the same playbook…..same words, same outrage, same script, same emphasis

Either Trump’s multiple nemesis are being exposed!……or they’re playing us

This is just primary season in a normal kind of way. Candidates and their supporters try to undercut their opponents. President Trump has no claim on the nomination, nor does anyone else. But they all know that if they don’t make noise then they don’t get attention. The whole point is to get attention and the free advertising it provides.
Personally, I’d prefer Trump because he keeps promises. If he gets beat, though, he gets beat.

I would like it to be a fair vote, though.

So after the unelected, illegal deep state destroys his life for 10 years, if he says anything about it, then he’s a whiner. Well, we know who Chaffetz works for now don’t we.

Not sure I buy that. Hannity was pumping up DeSantis pretty hard recently. Hannity is a neoCONs neoCON and did not join the trump train until after trump secured the primary when there was no alternative.
