They know the downsides of EVs will not affect them at all, for they will be exempt from any of those downsides.
Lots of copper wire for the meth addicts, unless they do it wrong and fry themselves.
That’s not a bug, that’s a feature.
Just another example how government can’t do anything right. America didn’t need government to build gas stations as automobiles became widely used. I don’t know the inner workings of this EV stuff, market demand and so on, but I have to think if there was a way for private businesses to make a profit, there would be just about the right number of charging stations at the appropriate locations to keep EVs running.
Faster recharging kills the life of the batteries and they are hiding that factor.
EVs: propelled by electricity gotten primarily from the burning of coal, natural gas and other Fossil Fuels with a smaller contribution from nuclear power.
EVs are not “green” and won’t be for the foreseeable future.
we drive from the oc to vegas and back a few times a year and its so funny all those evs waiting to charge up i mean its nuts baker is the funniest
In time the EV will mature. The idea it’s ready to go
prime time by 2030 or 2035, is just fruitcake territory.
What’s more, everyone knows it.
It may be possible by 2050-2070, but only if the powers
that be get off their asses and develop enough energy to
power them up.
Right now it’s comical seeing leaders demand 2035, not
knowing the slightest things that will allow that to
happen. These people are daydreaming and thinking it’s
reality.
It isn’t.
I use Energize America. There are three fast chargers
where I charge up, and one to three of them are out of
order on a frequent basis.
The system doesn’t recognize me at times. It won’t
lock onto my care and charge.
Then when you do get things working, everyone decides
to charge to 100%. This not only hurts the battery,
that last 10% takes about 1/3 as long as all the charge
they have to that point, to load up.
It’s a massive delay.
Night before last I charged up. One guy with a new
BMW had left his car to charge. He let the car sit for
20 minutes after it was fully charged, thus blocking
anyone else from using the charger.
Honestly, we have some of the most ignorant rude people
on the planet these days.
Dendrites form on the cells when you charge all the
way to 100% all the time. It cuts down on the longevity
of your battery.
Shoking!!

A few months ago Finland announced their 15-minute Supercharger. No word on the damage done each time, but, hey, they’re ‘saving the planet.’
Some European ferries have banned EV autos from their ferry services. Some New York apartment buildings have banned e-bikes and scooters due to fires.
Why not?
Let me suggest a solution for charging EVs, and to ‘satisfy’ the illusion by the climate-change proponents that they’re somehow saving the planet (in reality, it’s not about saving the planet)...
Generators.
Most everyone can afford generators, which can power a house in times of need. So, every household should have a generator always ready to charge an EV battery.
No, fossil-fuels there. ;)
And it would be the same kind of charging/recharging that occurs now for EVs. ;)
Problem solved. ;)
You can make an EV charging station charge 50 times faster by spraying the copper guts with a mixture of white vinegar, ammonia, and salt
They’re not performing because I park my truck in them every damn time I can. Eff anyone who don’t like it too.
It ain’t illegal and stupid ev owners can shove their privilege up their candy asses
“In areas with only one or two charging stations, the lines can become quite long if some or most of the chargers are out of service when you arrive.”
OBVIOUS SOLUTION, except for those unable to think: Only go to charging stations when traffic is low and all of their chargers are working.
See, not so hard, if you have a brain, that is.
We must all do our part to protect the planet.
I just unplugged a row of electric cars that no one was using.
Charging stations + vandals = copper wiring vanishing in the middle of night.
EVs are the blood diamonds of the green new deal
