Yeah I’ll bet. Though I do enjoy watching some old stories of Vietnam. Though they always said, do not get into a turning fight with a MiG-17 nor a MiG-21.
I’ll bet when you firewalled those J-79’s it was quite a push. At least back then.
About 1970 or so, I was a kid riding my Honda 50 Mini-Trail when a blue and yellow Blue Angels F-4 Phantom II streaked over - seemed like 50 feet. There was an airshow going on at a nearby base that day. I don’t know if this was just practice but IIRC it was a Saturday. So probably the show was in session.
Didn’t you fly the F-15 a bit too before the F-16?
