Yeah I’ll bet. Though I do enjoy watching some old stories of Vietnam. Though they always said, do not get into a turning fight with a MiG-17 nor a MiG-21.
I’ll bet when you firewalled those J-79’s it was quite a push. At least back then.
About 1970 or so, I was a kid riding my Honda 50 Mini-Trail when a blue and yellow Blue Angels F-4 Phantom II streaked over - seemed like 50 feet. There was an airshow going on at a nearby base that day. I don’t know if this was just practice but IIRC it was a Saturday. So probably the show was in session.
Didn’t you fly the F-15 a bit too before the F-16?

The Honda 50 Mini Trail - mine was probably a 1969 or 1970 - and yes, that exact color of a Candy Red - wish I'd had the 70cc

After, but not nearly as much.
You don’t get nearly the flight time in F15 units due to cost and mission so it’s kind of boring.
