And after talking about the ice cream he said something like “And look at those cute kids - com’n kids - stand up.” Then he spoke about the shooting.
To be fair (I found it odd that the parents and audience were laughing), the press thing seemed to be about small businesses (hence the ice cream bit). Nobody knew that he would mention the shooting.
Regardless, his comments (their timing really) were crude and idiotic. (Hmm - just like him!)
