‘...should we ban alcohol because tens of thousands die from it’s effects and or kill others after consuming it?

not an apt analogy; the definitive purpose of a gun is to kill things and people, and when it does, it has fulfilled its intended design; when alcohol kills, as it does, it has not fulfilled it’s intention, which is supposedly to break down social strictures, so as to enjoy life better...

So even though alcohol is very addictive, and kills 500 times more people than guns, we don't want to ban alcohol because the intent of alcohol is to enjoy life better?

What a load of baloney.

So tens of millions of gun owners who never killed anyone, they enjoy firearms and never had any intent of killing anyone is somehow different because guns are meant to kill people?

Bull s***.
