There has been another train derailment leading to a hazardous waste leak. This time the incident occurred in North Dakota.
As reported by KFGO, several Canadian Pacific train cars derailed “with some spilling hazardous material in Richland County.”
“Authorities say it happened around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 just one mile southeast of Wyndmere, ND,” the report noted. “31 cars of a 70-car train derailed, with some leaking petroleum used to make asphalt. At this time, authorities are saying there’s no danger to the public.”
“Canadian Pacific says its hazardous material experts are on scene along with local authorities to asses the situation,” the report added. “Officials say there is no fire and no waterways nearby. It’s estimated it will take seven to 10 days to clean up the mess.”

CORRECT
Dagny Taggart!
“I’m guessing it was bitumen.”
So, it’s about as hazardous as the roads the hazmat teams are using to get to the spill?
Gosh, whatever will they do?
.
“Another train derailment. Is the problem with so many such incidents because no one wants to work and do their job anymore? Is it just a lack of maintenance as people stare at their phone instead of looking at the trains?”

Try to burn it anyway, because we're ruled over by idiots?
Believe me, it gets worse.
One place I worked had a well water line that ran above ground through an open field area between the well head and the plant. If that line developed a leak it had to be repaired immediately and a rough amount of the water that leaked had to be entered in a log, since it was considered “contaminated” because it had gone through a pump and some piping.
I believe it is a combination of all those things.
Another day, another train derailment and toxic waste.
Yes, workers need to do their jobs instead of having their noses in their phones and on smoke breaks.
Driving that train

Trouble ahead, trouble behind
And you know that notion just crossed my mind.

Great now the price of asphalt paving will go up.
Bout time for Pete to take a vacation.
He needs to brush up on judging booties.
Obviously you have never been there or your perspective sucks
It was a joke, sorry if you couldn’t figure that out.
It’s probably the autocorrect. There are more Danny’s in this world than Dagny’s
I know, my machine tried to auto-correct it to Danny. But it’s FR, no mercy for typos... :)
What you do not at this moment comprehend is that it DID work out well in Ohio; the consequences of NOT burning off that VCM material could have been HIGHLY devastating.

Just sitting there letting fire work on those tank cars would have VERY LIKELY led to MULTIPLE tank bleve explosions; each shattering windows all across town and each capable of throwing half a railcar as much as a half mile in any direction. I’m pretty sure you grasp that a burn-off was better than having multi-ton chunks of railcar shrapnel hail down all over East Palestine.
I’m conspiracy theorizing already.
That’s terrible. One more sign that the former United States, run by mostly moral, ethical people with good character and work ethic, is now devolving into 3rd world banana republic ways, where infrastructure just keeps crumbling.
