Trump Puts His Legal Peril at Center of First Big Rally for 2024
NYTimes ^ | 03/26/2023

WACO, Texas — Former President Donald J. Trump spent much of his first major political rally of the 2024 campaign portraying his expected indictment by a New York grand jury as a result of what he claimed was a Democratic conspiracy to persecute him, arguing wildly that the United States was turning into a “banana republic.”

As a crowd in Waco, Texas, waved red-and-white signs with the words “Witch Hunt” behind him, Mr. Trump devoted long stretches of his speech to his own legal jeopardy rather than his vision for a second term, casting himself as a victim of “weaponization” of the justice system.

“The abuses of power that we’re currently witnessing at all levels of government will go down as among the most shameful, corrupt and depraved chapters in all of American history,” he said.

The speech underscored how Mr. Trump tends to frame the nation’s broader political stakes heavily around whatever issues personally affect him the most. Last year, he sought to make his lies about fraud in his 2020 election defeat the most pressing issue of the midterms. On Saturday, he called the “weaponization of our justice system” the “central issue of our time.”

Nah, the NYTs can't help but lie. It's easier for a journalist to parrot whatever memo the deep state issued that morning than to actually investigate whether there was anything shady about halting counting simultaneously in 5 key states, kicking everyone out, and then resuming counting where the vote total miraculously broke all in dopey joe's favor. All while ignoring testimony from eyewitnesses to the ballot dumps/cross state truck deliveries.

This nothing more than a distraction and there will be no indictment of Trump. The documents released make the case closed.

Here's a small truth, New York Times.

Trump is the first President in a LONG time to truly represent THE PEOPLE of this country. Whatever issues personally affect Trump the most, affect each and every American. Because Trump represents the people, what the derps do to Trump, they do to us. Trump is just in the way. He is attacked so vigorously because he refuses to take it and goes on offense, unlike all the woe-begotten so called conservatives who have come before him.

Trump is our last, best hope to stop the Derp State takeover of the world and restore America. My people call that MAGA.

Stick that in your pocket, New York Times half-men.

People showed up. He didn’t whoop up the ending. I think he just may tone it down a bit to make himself more palatable to the suburban housewife he lost.

Then there’s the never-Trumpers. His record will marginalize them. He won’t have to be so mean to DeSantis-my prediction. Biden’s record will help.

Then there’ the Libertarians and independents. Trump can energize them both by putting Rand Paul on the ticket. Paul will say things the independents are not used to hearing from a republican. It would be exciting as 2 old geezers fighting it out is another boring spectacle to the millennials.

I predict an indictment.

Boast n Bragg is way too far gone not to get something. Moreover, he doesn’t have to win a case. In NYC he will be hailed for simply indicting Trump. And third, Trump seems to be ready to make a real spectacle and campaign strength out of this (”handcuffs” and all).

I love when the NY Times scolds the Right for something their side always does.

Does Trump promote himself?

Why yes he does and so?

So does Joe/Jill Biden. So does Lizahauntus Warren... So does Obama, Hillary, Billy Jeff, etc., etc.

As if Trump was the ONLY one to push himself in a campaign.

And yes, the NY Times did everything in their power to stop him.

They lied, made stuff up, fooled millions, from Russia-gate to election fraud to Jan 6th “insurrection”, it’s all one political hit job after another.

The biggest threat to our democracy is a Deep State/Fourth Estate combo. The NY Times is at the forefront of this.

I think the politicization and weaponization of the Dept of Justice/FBI by Marrick Garland, George Soros-funded DAs and AGs, Mark Zuckerberg messing around in our elections, Richard/Rachel Levine pushing for the sexual mutilation of children, Mayorkas turning our southern border over to the Mexican cartels, and having Blinkin and Neuland in charge of our foreign policy are among the biggest issues facing the country.

Yeah, another lie. The statute of limitations is over, for something as small as Stormy Danials grease money.

Bragg is dead meat and has too many powerful enemies who will destroy him if he gores down this path. This is out of the political realm and I have some real good sources who are saying so.

Only, WRONG, again, Slimes.

Pres Trump, as always, perfectly articulated his America First vision.

The left can’t handle Pres Trump Truth Bombs.

NY Slimes devoting yet another page of bird cage liner, to their collection of Trump lies.

Exactly right! I looked into Trump’s biography in ‘15 because I didn’t know a thing about him, except that he was some rich guy with a popular reality television show. So who was this guy running for president?

He and the events surrounding his life were nothing like the democrats, squishy republicans and the media were saying about him. And the one thing that stood out in contrast to what the media was saying, was his unquestioned love for America. That was enough for my vote.

Which was magnificently vindicated by his tenure in the White House! Trump v2.0 will be a force to be reckoned with. Glad he’s on the side of traditional America.

I was there. It was great! (I have a sunburn today.) I loved the way he kept trolling the media, pointing them out and calling them “fake news.” He got the crowd booing them at least twice.
