ATLANTA – Republican Gov. Brian Kemp signed into law a controversial bill Thursday banning most gender-affirming care for transgender Georgians under 18.
Kemp wasted little time in signing the bill, which received final passage from the General Assembly just two days earlier.
Senate Bill 140 will ban Georgia transgender youths from receiving hormone replacement therapy and gender-affirming surgery.
Hospitals could lose their permits and doctors their licenses. The legislation also opens up doctors to civil and criminal liability for providing such services.

Why should genital mutilation be allowed once you turn 18?
Genital mutilation is not gender “affirming”.
Amputating children’s genitalia is NOT healthcare. Don’t let those evil #%#s co-opt the language.
Cutting off a child’s genitalia is NOT HEALTHCARE!
It is child abuse!
It is maiming a perfectly healthy body!
It should be a CRIME PUNISHABLE BY DEATH VIA THE SAME METHOD!.............................
To sane people, “gender-affirming care” means caring for the gender you’re born with
Because we allow adults to make decisions others disapprove of?
I do not approve of the Nanny State philosophy of government.
Well in a free country, an adult should be able to make decisions for themselves.
Is it a “nanny state” to allow medical practice to be performed? Should lobotomies be allowed to be performed?
They already grabbed it with abortion. Health care! Spit!
Yes. If an adult is stupid enough to want one.
The Only way this qwap stops is when People stand up together and just say NO! to the radical activists... but too many people are convinced by the very few radicals that you can’t SAY No!
*medical malpractice that is, which these transgender “surgeries” are.
Providing that sort of “medical care” is a clear violation of the Hippocratic Oath to first do no harm. Genital mutilation should not and cannot be performed by any credible medical professional. That’s Mengele-level evil. Yet another example of why we’re not a serious country where this is allowed on adults or children.
There are ZERO, and I do mean ZERO studies from anyone of any respected level showing that “Gender Affirming” crap does anything for those who receive it.
In fact, the respected studies show that if you do nothing, nearly all of those diagnosed with gender dysphoria in puberty get over it by the time they are 18/19 years old. They do show that about 80% of them will end up identifying as homosexual in adulthood, but in terms of butchering their bodies and pretending to be the opposite sex, this is a side effect of esteem and destructive emotions that are common among teenagers... NOT a causation for them.
Every young person feeling these feelings, and their parents or caregivers, should go watch this video immediately... you will be told the truth that most never hear about these conditions.

Its medical and psychological malpractice to treat anyone, let alone children, with gender affirming care to their dysphoria.
Rebecca Grapefine. Another ally of the Modern Mengeles. Calling the banning of the mutilation of children “limiting healthcare” is pure evil.
True, but another ship has sailed. I think liberals overall are winning. They succeeded in normalizing homosexuality and abortion and divorce and many other issues unheard of just 60 years ago.
No matter what the Trump fans say, this shows that Kemp is not a RINO.
