Seven law enforcement officials, who conducted an armed raid of the rapper Afroman’s home in August 2022, are now suing him for invasion of privacy.
Afroman used footage from the raid in his music videos and allegedly included it in merchandise and social media posts.
The members of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio have filed a lawsuit against the rapper – real name Joseph Foreman – claiming the footage, which shows their faces, has caused “emotional distress, embarrassment, ridicule, loss of reputation and humiliation”.
According to court documents seen by The Independent, Afroman himself was not present during the raid. However, his wife was there and “recorded portions of the search on her phone”, while “several security video cameras” in the home also captured “portions of the search”.

So... they behaved stupidly and got caught on camera.
That is the way it goes.
“Emotional distress... “, my heart bleeds like a potato for those poor cops, so sad!
Get ON that lemon poundcake, Officer Beef!!
They found no drugs
Because he got high
Because he got high
Because he got high
They say they can be anonymous during a raid?!
On what planet?
They filmed this in their OWN home and the cops are suing them for invasion of privacy? Haha that’s ridiculous and the case should be thrown out.
So much for “public” servants. They don’t want to show their faces when they force you to kiss their boots.
The Adams County Prosecutor’s Office said officers found no probative criminal evidence during their raid, and no charges were filed.
How did the police claim "probable cause" when nothing was found? Kidnapping? Human Trafficing? Did someone try to set-up Afroman? It sure looks like the judge and the police were more than willing to believe anything their 'confidential informant'(?) told them.
Just bought a ticket to his next live show.
That is a funny story.
You can bet they would have shot his dog if one were there.
Never heard of this man, but... I like how he spoke out through a music video. (And the lyrics were clean, unless I missed something.)
HILARIOUS video. Not a rap fan, but even less a fan of extreme police overreach.
Okay, now I see why the officers are suing...
“Will You Help Me Repair My Door” makes a good argument.
Then, “Lemon Pound Cake” pokes fun at the officers. Embarrassing, but...
Then, “Why You Disconnecting My Video Camera” crosses the line.
They don’t have a leg to stand on. It was HIS cams, inside his house that filmed it. Not their film that he used.
How does it cross the line? It’s his cams, caught them in the house.
Disconnecting the camera was funniest of all. Him cutting and splicing to make it look like he was in the house the whole time, running room to room hiding. That was freaking hilarious. Right out of the Buster Keaton school of film making.
On what planet?
On planet copper. 😀
I love this! I’d never heard of Afroman, but that video is hilarious.
