The world we have known will no longer have the United States as the first among equals. In the same way that World War II marked the end of the British imperial empire, today’s events in Moscow are a death knell for the United States being able to act as the global policeman who imposes order on unruly countries.

With China and Russia in charge of the new world order, nothing good could conceivably come of it.
Instead, the world will return to that of 19th century empire builders, where big authoritarian powers invade and annex their weaker neighbors.
Many of today's 195 mostly small & weak independent countries will be absorbed into their more aggressive neighbors.
The new world, after a Russian victory over Ukraine, will not be friendly to us, or our allies, and we will not like it.
Ukraine and Taiwan are only the beginning.
