Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will remain under care at an inpatient rehabilitation facility with no known timetable for his release after he suffered a rib fracture and concussion.
McConnell, 81, was discharged from hospital in mid-March on receiving treatment for tripping at a reception and private dinner at a Washington, DC, hotel hosted by the Senate Leadership Fund.
According to his office, McConnell continues to undergo physical therapy to improve his physical wellness. It’s unknown when he might be ready to return to his vigorous Senate responsibilities.

If you’re saying Mitch McConnell wants to destroy us, I would want to know what exactly you’re talking about. Destroy is a very strong word.
Independent of politics, he’s known to have been a childhood polio survivor. I’ve never seen it admitted regarding him, but he’s certainly at risk for post-polio syndrome. And he certainly wouldn’t be the first politician trying to down play any medical weakness. Basically some the nerves driving certain muscles were killed by the polio, but enough survived to be able pick up the slack so he “recovered” from his paralysis. But those surviving nerves have been working overtime ever since and eventually wear out. Probably not a lot can be done for that beyond celebrating Salk and Sabin for ending the supply of potential new victims. But with PT you may be able to whip more out of whatever nerves still work. If so that could be an argument for retirement, but as having physical rather than mental limitations. We may well not like his political positions, but unlike some Senators I don’t think anyone is accusing him of being demented or otherwise mentally incompetent. At least not presuming no long term damage from the concussion.
I do not wish this fellow human being anything bad in terms of physical harm. I do wish he would resign. As a back stabbing, money grabbing, enemy embracing, Benedict Mitchell he has become a severe liability for America and is deserving of incarceration in a prison rehab facility not a country club.
Because he is a non-patriot and disloyal to his country, he deserves the worst from here on out not the best.

It’s scary when you’re old and you fall. I mean, it’s like you do everything you can NOT to fall, but when you do fall, even a small fall, it’s major.
Dumb@ss me the other day was running upstairs with my pockets in my hands, and I tripped. Fell on my face.
Then the dog ran me over when I kicked her ball. My phone went one way, and my coffee the other. It was like she gave me a roll block.
Seniors need to takea a basic tumbling class every week.
I never suggested he was demented. I am saying this is more than your standard 80 year old’s concussion. Your explanation is sound. I think the country has a right to understand when something unusual happens.
I hope McWeasal recovers quickly. I detest his policies but do not wish him bad health. Falling and getting hurt sucks!
