Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
THANK YOU
for your service!

Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
Howdy, lauren. *Hugz*
Things going well down your way? I hope it’s been nicer there than it has here over the weekend.
Howdy radu!
Doing well here, thank you! And I hope you are too.
It was cold and gray all week last week, actually had freeze warnings over the weekend. Sheesh!
Not to complain ‘cuz it’s going to be 110 soon enough, but I am ready for some nice, sunny, warm days. But, we have more rain and cooler days in the forecast for later this week.
Sigh...
Take care, and I hope you have a pleasant week!
*HUGS*
Our weather sounds pretty much the same the past few days. We have one more night of hard freeze tonight, then our temps moderate at last. Chances for rain in the forecast the next four days. Could have some rough storms Friday and I hope you miss out on that “fun”.

Bible in a Year:
Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
Chinese medicine has practiced pearl powder exfoliation for thousands of years, using ground pearls to scrub away dead cells resting at the top of the skin. In Romania, rejuvenating therapeutic mud has become a widely sought-after exfoliant that’s purported to make skin youthful and glowing. All over the world, people use body care practices they believe will renew even the dullest of skin.
The tools we’ve developed to maintain our physical bodies, however, can only bring us temporary satisfaction. What matters more is that we remain spiritually healthy and strong. As believers in Jesus, we’re given the gift of spiritual renewal through Him. The apostle Paul wrote, “Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16). The challenges we face daily can weigh us down when we hold on to things like fear, hurt, and anxiety. Spiritual renewal comes when we “fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen” (v. 18). We do this by turning our daily worries over to God and praying for the fruit of the Holy Spirit—including love, joy, and peace—to emerge anew in our lives (Galatians 5:22–23). When we release our troubles to God and allow His Spirit to radiate through us each day, He restores our souls.
Reflect & Pray
How can you ask God to renew your spirit? How does the work of the Holy Spirit encourage you today?
Jesus, each day I face obstacles that try to break my spirit. Sometimes I feel defeated, but I know that through You my spirit can be renewed.

Good weekend my way taking care of the pups and bonus sunny and warm weather.
We're back into a wet pattern but the temps are warming up this first day of Spring.
You and the kittehs getting along? 😉
I was at Fort Sam Houston for about 4 months way back in 1971.
Having just survived basic training at Ft. Polk, Lousiana,
it felt like I had died and gone to heaven.

METC. I’ve been there many times. Back in the pre-Covid days our church used to run a shuttle service from there to our Sunday services. Airmen, soldiers, Marines and Navy personnel were all in training here and they often took advantage of a ride off base to Sunday services.
I have great memories of those fine young men and women dedicating their lives in learning medical skills at Fort Sam Houston.

Read comments below the video:
“I used to be willing to die for what I believed America stood for. Now, I would die to protect my family from what it has become. “
“I choked back an ocean of tears as a veteran understanding full well his words while this honorable man spoke. Our “leadership” in this country has failed us - MISERABLY. “
“This brave man’s speech should be repeatedly broadcast on every media outlet until something sustainable gets done. God bless and thank you to all brave Vets, domestic and foreign, who have sacrificed for our freedoms!!!”
“I spent over 21 years in the Army. I am a combat veteran of Iraq. My son is a combat veteran of Afghanistan. Dad was War II. Grandfather was War I. Great Great Grandfather was with the 11th US Cavalry, Ky Volunteers in the Civil War. I used to be proud of my service, and the years I spent in uniform. I seldom mention it today, or tell people, or talk about it with anyone other than close friends (meaning fellow vets). My wife works for the VA and takes care of my brothers and sisters every day. She’s the hero. It is incredibly sad and disheartening that a man with this Colonels pedigree has to appear before a Congressional Committee and tell them what an abysmal failure US Foreign Policy now is. But I shouldn’t be surprised. We’ve been doing it for years.”
Howdy, PRO!
It sounds like you had a really nice weekend.Fun with the pups and nice weather so you could hang out in the back yard while they put on their shows. LOL
It was too chilly here to want to spend time outside, especially yesterday. Barely made it above freezing. Today was much nicer but my bum back kept me down. A nice warm-up ahead this week but like you, we have a wet weather pattern as well.
It’s Spring!
Good evening, radu...did you and the pump houses survive the freezing temps?
We are supposed to have another week with days above freezing and below freezing nights. They are trying to tell us that more snow is coming, but my fingers are in my ears.
