An individual, except the President, elected or appointed to an office of honor or profit in the civil service or uniformed services, shall take the following oath: “I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.” This section does not affect other oaths required by law.
Allegiance is sworn to the United States, not to particular politicians.
Gee if Trump wins the Presidency then I guess the Secret Service is in the same boat as the DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA, etc. can’t be trusted! Maybe a big, big house cleaning coming!
Since Protection for the President and Vice President of the United States is mandatory, I guess if I were Trump, I would make the Secret Service stand outside the White House Fence. That’s the closest I would let them near me. But that’s just me and I take somethings personal.

Agree. If the Secret Service goes along, Trump should demand his detail be eliminated, and he should turn to a private service, making the SS irrelevant. Their tasks on counterfeiting should be turned over to the Boy Scouts.
