@POTUS
Look, I think you should be able to be a billionaire if you can earn it, but just pay your fair share.
I think you ought to pay a minimum tax of 25%.
It’s about basic fairness.
@ElonMusk
Replying to @POTUS
I paid 53% taxes on my Tesla stock options (40% Federal & 13% state), so I must be lifting the average!
I also paid more income tax than anyone ever in the history of Earth for 2021 and will do that again in 2022.
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
Twitter and Musk has labelled the tweet as inaccurate (Wow!)
Peter Schiff who I also follow replied in the thread with this:
@PeterSchiff
Replying to @elonmusk
The country would be much better off if you were able to keep that money, and were able to invest it productively, rather than turning it over to government to blow it on consumption. Our nation will suffer a lower standard of living as a result.
I wonder if Mr. Biden paid any income tax on his millions in criminal bribes from Communist China.
He most likely didn’t declare it
Doesn’t Dementia Joe plans to tax unrealized capital gains?
“I also paid more income tax than anyone ever in the history of Earth for 2021 and will do that again in 2022.”
He’s just bragging because it’s true.
Biden’s wealth is probably off the books. If it’s ill-gotten then it’s probably not reported and thus tax-free.
How long have the DemoMarxists been pushing this “pay their fair share” bullsht? I am SOOO SICK of hearing that!! They never stop, they never stop putting out the LIE that the rich pay no taxes.
When are Democrats going to disclose their W-2’s like they’re always demanding everyone else do?
I don’t kno who Peter Schiff is, but I thouht it was a paraody response from Adam Schiff. I am drinking my coffee but the caffeine hasn’t kicked in yet.
Biden is a corrupt crook.
That's giving it a 'kind' description.
BTTT
Like more Zelinsky properties in Switzerland?
He is absolutely correct.
Have they ever given a straight answer to how much the "fair share" is? How much of the victim's labor belongs to the government? At most they will longingly respond by saying that top tax rates were 94% during World War 2 and say that you are lucky that taxes aren't like that now.
I found a table of historic federal rates at https://taxfoundation.org/historical-income-tax-rates-brackets/
That top rate was for over $200,000 income, or $3.4 million in current dollars.
He needs a new CPA and group of brokers. If he is TX resident, buy tax free munis and never pay federal taxes again. But since liberals now hate him, Id diversify into other countries, too.
He’s no relation but yes most people won’t have heard of him.
An economist/libertarian who appears on Fox etc.
Just interesting to see his reply as I follow both on there.
Small world isn’t it...
You’re right but I think he pays over and above because he knows he’s a target
If I were him...
Peter Schiff the other guy I mentioned moved to Puerto Rico which I understand is a tax efficient move
PR is triple tax exempt (city/county, state and federal)...but its a shithole.
Exercising his options is where most his income comes from. He gets no salary. What he does with it afterwards is probably interesting.
