President Trump has called on supporters to protest his expected arrest next week by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on bogus charges arising out of the alleged 2016 Stormy Daniels hush money arrangement. Several so-called influencers are warning supporters to stay home to avoid being entrapped by the feds into another January 6 riot.
As one of the most experienced conservative street activists who was active in our Nation’s Capital for over a decade, I want to offer my advice on whether to go out and protest (yes) and how to do it.
First, some background. I was active in the D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com from 1998 into the early 2010s, but mostly through the end of 2007 when I left the area and returned a few times a year. I organized hundreds of street protests and counter-protests against President Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore and other corrupt Democrat politicians. I organized an annual protest of liberal media bias outside the White House Correspondents Dinner for about fifteen years. Through Free Republic, Move America Forward and the Gathering of Eagles, we organized several rallies and counter-rallies supporting our troops in the war on terror in the years after 9/11. On a few occasions, we acted as human shields against the violent left and radical Islamists, protecting The White House, the Danish Embassy, Armed Forces Recruiting stations and even the Washington Post. I also helped organize the FReeper inaugural ball in 2005 attended by nearly 1,000 guests or so.
We dealt with D.C. Police, Capitol Police, Park Police, Secret Service, various other federal law enforcement agencies and the military in demonstrations at the White House, Capitol, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the National Mall, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Arlington Cemetery, the old Walter Reed Army Hospital, the Vice President’s Residence, aka “Cheney’s House”, and many locales in and around D.C.
We faced off against communists, anarchists, Black Bloc (pre-Antifa), Code Pink, ANSWER, radical Islamists, Democrats, RINOs, dishonest media and the Westboro Baptist Church extremists.
We did all that by being peaceful and behaving in a civilized manner at all times. We hade a code of conduct that served us well.
Briefly, it read, “No violence, no racism, no profanity, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.”
...more
Frankly US Marshals could have a field day picking up wanted ANTIFA at any protest in NY or Mar-a-Lago.
If you or anyone else on this forum have not seen this James O'Keefe video above, you must watch it so your eyes are open. This is deliberate. These people are scum of the lowest order. And they are so proud of it, even bringing known mentally ill people into the process to incite their violence for them, that they cannot help themselves when they brag about it. It is why James O'Keefe and his work is so important.
This technique of inciting violence is known in Leftist circles as "Birddogging".
I went to a Sarah Palin rally in Boston back in 2008 with a friend of mine, and it was a beautiful sunny day. We were far back in the crowd on Boston Common, holding our signs and waiting for Sarah Palin to appear.
A guy came up and asked me what my sign meant. I explained it to him, and he began getting confrontational. He stood directly in front of me, and at one point was directly in front of me, blocking my view, his face inches from mine.
I was also carrying concealed that day, and I knew that no matter what, I had to avoid any kind of physical confrontation. That would be a recipe for disaster. So I remained calm, and repeatedly told this person that I wasn't really interested in talking with him and would step to the side so I could see the stage, and he would mirror my movement to plant himself right in front of me.
I will say I was steaming with anger, but...I had to suppress it, so I kept this up. During this time, I looked over and saw the group of people this jackoff had come with, and they all had their cell phones out recording, hoping for an altercation.
Finally, people around me (who I didn't know) began getting really irritated with this guy, and telling him to "Get lost-can't you see he isn't interested in talking to you?" so he eventually left.
The linked video above is from sometime after the 2016 election, but it is pretty obvious to me this is a longstanding tactic of the Left, and I had been subjected to this "birddogging" back in 2008.
We don't do this kind of thing, they do. THEY do. So, we should have our eyes open and not take the bait, and I do believe most conservatives don't need to be told this. On the whole, Conservatives are far more mature and emotionally stable than any Leftist out there, it goes with the territory.
But still-best to be aware and prepared.
No I see that perfectly clear. That's why I defended him so strongly while he was President, and was facing those outrageous impeachment attempts. You'll be hard pressed to find me criticizing Trump once while he was President, despite probably thousands of posts in support of him.
And I also agree that this appears to be another political witch hunt. I in no way support this prosecution, and have said that many times here lately. I was also outraged, at first, when they raided Mar-a-Lago. I believed it when Trump first said they had handed everything over, and his lawyers had even signed a declaration of that. Then, when it turned out he still had a lot of classified documents at home, and that's not allowed even for the President, much less a former one, he wanted to claim that he had magically unclassified everything by simply declaring to himself he was un-classifying it. That's not how the process works, nor should it.
I could go on, of course, but he's not some golden boy above reproach on a lot of these issues. Even this new one is involving illicit affairs with porn stars, and shady lawyers who have already gone to jail themselves. Does that make Trump 100% guilty? No, of course not. And I'll certainly vote for him if he's the nominee again. But it doesn't encourage me to go put my own life on the line for someone like him, by showing up some sort of poorly planned protest fiasco again, when his own lawyers say he probably even has the exact day wrong. Are you?
Wear Covid masks, sunglasses, hats and nondescript clothing
Wear a BLMAntiFArainbow shirt.
Well, bye, then.
BTTT.
Here is what it was supposed to look like:
CONSERVATIVE PROTESTERS AND THEIR SIGNS:
LEFTIST PROTESTERS AND THEIR SIGNS:
That said, I kept all my pictures...I am a bit of a hoarder when it comes to images...:)
Bye Jane, for now. If you or any other Freepers decide to go protest, I’ll pray for your safety, and that something positive comes from it. Thanks.
My wife and I are in our 80's, and she is recovering from a hip replacement and a memory blocking Covid earlier this year for both of us.
So, we will not go shopping and will not order anything online or by phone Tuesday and the rest of the week.
I will fill up our gas tank tomorrow and get other possible stuff incase the SHTF on Tuesday!
A weird person, we know, sometimes living in the greater DC area and ???, is warning people of a 9/11/Pearl Harbor event tomorrow to distract us from NYC and Trump being arrested.
Props! Says it all. And very often the leftist mob protesters is a rent-a-mob. All or in part. What Pelosi called astro- turfing.
Yes. She would be an authority on that, wouldn’t she?
Lingering Covid effects? Try hyperbaric. Tune in at 32 minutes in. BTW my father had a toe wound that would not heal. 10 hyperbaric sessions healed it Who else was the hyperbaric clinic? Golfers who had already gotten a toe or two cut off. Diabetes

Anyone know how Bufordp is doing?
Outstanding, thank you!
It’s a trap.
I haven’t heard from Bufordp in some time myself. One of my favorite people from the Walter Reed Freeps...
Well said!
This lingering effect is the impact of recent Covid on everyday short term memory and some times medium to long term memory.
It has impacted a lot of us from our 80’s to 20 something.
Yes they could, if they chose to.
