The Department of Justice is gearing up to prosecute up to 1,000 more people on charges related to the Jan. 6 Capitol incursion, according to a letter from a U.S. attorney obtained by Bloomberg.

United States Attorney for the District of Columbia Matthew Graves sent a one-page letter to Chief Judge of the D.C. District Court Beryl Howell on Oct. 28, estimating cases could be filed for between 700 and 1,200 additional defendants as the department was already near making its 900th arrest, Bloomberg reported.

Our country’s government has become the twin of the CPSU when it was in its heyday.

Our country deserves much, much better.

Not just the Dems, Same with the GOP who do nothing to stop it.

Willful ignorance of subversion and conspiracy is just as complicit as being directly involved in the subversion and conspiracy.

The terrible part of this is the fact we will do nothing. They fill up the gulag with patriots, including apparently DJT, and we do nothing. I do nothing because I can’t afford the process to defend myself from the gubmint’s FBI/DOJ goons. How can we attempt to organize, when FBI infiltration is assured? (hello, you slimy stooges)

“How about the people that tried to burn down the federal
buildings in Portland (and elsewhere)?”

They were Democrats. And when Democrats do it, it is looked upon with approval by the Deep State and its lackeys and minions.

I paid for two seats on a bus so others could travel to DC, so I’m probably ahead of you on the arrest list.

We now know what living in East Germany was like with the stasi harassing and arresting political enemies right out in the open or ‘quietly’ as its suits them.

No you do not. The Stasi would just come in the night and take people away - the only way anyone else would know is if relative mentioned a missing relative, and then they too would disappear. There would be nothing in any newspaper, on the radio, or TV.

Every where you went, you would be tracked and photographed.

You can safely sit home today and say ‘I’m safe because I didn’t attend’. But if it were the Stasi, and if one of the people arrested under real torture [like being shown sharp, hot instruments or shown electrodes connected to sensitive parts - you know the ones] mentioned your name, you too would disappear as would your entire family and maybe the neighbors.

You would live in constant real fear every day, all day, and especially at night - waiting for the footsteps that may come.

It is time for the voters to file formal complaints and charge them with felony criminal fraud and misrepresentation. They defrauded us to get our campaign donations in the tune of millions of dollars. And they can indeed be arrested for a felony as long as they are not on their way to or from, or while on the house floor.

So many people live in the world where they believe “if it is not exactly like it was before it must not be tyranny”

“a chilling overreach of federal power”

This is called justifying the budget of the alphabet agencies.

They need easy targets who don’t fight back that get great headlines.

Any government big enough to protect you is big enough to destroy you.

Some folks around here cannot figure it out—until it is too late.

“Every where you went, you would be tracked and photographed.”

That is happening—anywhere there are cameras or cellphones.

The Feds can easily pull up complete data on anyone for any reason—sometimes legally, sometimes not—but since there are no consequences for illegal tracking they figure “why not”...

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? After all, you knew ahead of time that those bluecaps were out at night for no good purpose. And you could be sure ahead of time that you’d be cracking the skull of a cutthroat.”

This is how Iran treats it’s citizens... only ‘state sponsored’ groups are allowed to ‘protest’ - and those groups can be as violent as they want to be.

The real protesters? Those who object to the Mullah’s or other Iranians thugs? They get hurt or jailed.
Like our intelligence thugs and their press butt boy thugs do... hand in glove going after powerless citizens. Jailing and trashing them publicly...

Then again, Iran’s making an effort NOT to look so thuggy and totalitarian. Maybe they should share that with our CIA and FBI goons... that ‘it looks bad to go after powerless citizes’...

They could but they do not. There is No real world comparison between the Stasi and the FBI. Perhaps if you never saw it in action, were not there, you cannot understand the difference.

The Stasi is just a more efficient and ruthless version of the FBI.

Europe is just better at the police state stuff.

It is imperative that the American bar provide pro bono assistance to all of the folks that were over-charged and illegally held without a speedy trial based on a false “insurrection” narative.

The newly released videos blow that narrative out of the water. Why the DOJ continues in this ridiculous effort to demonize the protestors is not clear, but it is clearly political.

Wrong again. There is no comparison. Whether you care to understand that or not - the Stasi was modeled on the KGB and overseen by the same.

The FBI is nothing like either of those two organizations.
