Look at it from the dems point of view. Trump will wipe the floor up with them is what they fear. Consider slojoe who this time will have to debate. Foreign relations, economy, energy policy, border...every major and minor point and he will be stammering up in front of the lights withering under a hail of attack comments from Trump all on the mark. So, best thing to do is take out Trump now.
If they manage to do that, can you see the GOP guy saying things like, well Mr. President I think you could be wrong there verses Trump saying you are long beyond your expiration date and a perfect example of what happens when some hapless dope like you wins a stolen election.
If I’m not mistaken:
Edwards paid his money while he was a declared candidate and he used campaign money.
Pres Trump did neither.
Lawfare does not need a legal reason. This is why leftists called democrats pass thousands of laws. It makes it easy to charge their enemies with anything they want and then not charge their friends.

So many people on here live to talk about how Pres Trump didn’t do this when he could have, didn’t do that when he could have, HIS CABINET PICKS SUCKED, etc etc……like he was supposed to wave a wand and all would be right.
I think he, mistakenly, thought that Republicans in Congress, who talked a great game on the campaign trail and in front of cameras, were truly committed to the welfare of the US like he was. He soon learned they were nothin but a group of backstabbing POSs.
Was Mattis a leader? NOPE. He was a global leftist that wanted to work for Clinton and obstructed the president.

The left doesn’t give a damn whether or not the case has merit. They just want the video of Donald Trump being brought in and fingerprinted, and possibly in handcuffs. Once they have that video, they won’t care if the case doesn’t go anywhere.
