The Day Trump Takes Office, The Unprovoked Proxy War Against Russia Ends
donaldjtrump.com ^ | 3/16/23 | Donald Trump

Posted on 03/17/2023 5:30:52 AM PDT by hardspunned

“Every day this proxy battle in Ukraine continues, we risk global war,” President Trump said. “We must be absolutely clear that our objective is to IMMEDIATELY have a total cessation of hostilities. All shooting has to stop. This is the central issue. We need PEACE without delay.”

“There must also be a complete commitment to dismantling the entire globalist neo-con establishment that is perpetually dragging us into endless wars, pretending to fight for freedom and democracy abroad, while they turn us into a third-world country and a third-world dictatorship right here at home. The State Department, the defense bureaucracy, the intelligence services, and all the rest need to be completely overhauled and reconstituted to fire the Deep Staters and put America First.”

That would depend on whether or not Trump were to say afterwards, "Hey guys no big deal but no thanks", which DeSantis has not done, at least so far as I know.

Do you have information to that effect? TIA.

So how does he plan to convince Putin to stop shooting?

By ending the corrupt Ukraine gravy train that gives kick-backs to US politicians.

nothing false about it

turn off “Russia Today” and start reading some History about all the unprovoked, unnecessary misery your Russia has caused over the years

and continues to cause

Why do you think all those countries that Russia had enslaved either begged to join NATO or are trying to, and why are even traditionally neutral countries like Sweden and Finland begging to get into the European NATO, even eternally neutral Switzerland is discussing it.

To get onto the US military aid gravy train where they get a share of it without having to put up their own money, of course.

I voted for DJT in 2016 and 2020.

But now I’m not so sure.

He’s wrong on giving Ukraine to Putler.
He’s wrong on giving Taiwan to China.
He’s wrong on the mRNA shot.
He’s wrong on vaxx mandates.
He’s wrong on ethanol.
He was wrong on the Patriot Act.
He was wrong on FISA.

He’s losing me and I’m sure I’m not alone.

One point, is he wrong on MAGA? Nothing you listed had anything to do with MAGA. Yes, the establishment driving America off the cliff currently, played him for a sap on Covid. There’s no excuse for that. Remember pre scamdemic MAGA America, peace with honor all around the world, an American economic and cultural renaissance? What didn’t you like? Is spending upwards of billion a day on Uke corruption in an unprovoked war 5000 miles away MAGA? Is pushing the risk of nuclear war worth it for that pervo globalist stooge of Soros and Obama’s? You might have have flirted with that fad MAGA, but we both know it’s not for you. Bolton, I believe has announced. There’s your man.

“in an unprovoked war”

At least you got this much right. Russia attacked Ukraine because Putin wanted to. Not because of anything Ukraine had done to Russia.

Yep. This Neocon war is not only reckless and wasteful, its not even in America’s interest. Driving Russia straight into China’s arms is a policy so stupid it beggars belief.

Who the hell cares about those oblasts in that centuries old blood feud. Are you trying to trot out the tired old, corrupt world policeman BS? Didn’t you have enough of him when he killed 15,000 American boys and a million innocent Arabs looking for Saddam’s yellow cake and showing the Saudis, who attacked us 9/11, what for by massacring Afghans? Other than Hillary’s Russia, Russia, Russia fantasies, when did Russia attack the US or NATO? Where in the NATO Charter is any of this sanctioned? What treaty obligation forces our participation in this quagmire? Like I said, unprovoked! Go sell Hillary’s lies to one of the neocon chumps around here. There’s plenty of them.

That isn’t true so why post it?

Nato summit: What does the US contribute?

Former President Donald Trump regularly criticised Nato members in Europe for not spending enough to support the alliance, relying on the US to shoulder the burden.

In terms of the proportion of its GDP (the total value of goods produced and services) allocated to defence expenditure, the US spends more than any of the other 29 Nato countries.

In 2020, it's estimated that the US spent just over 3.7% of its GDP on defence, while the average for Nato's European members (and Canada) was 1.77% of GDP.

The current agreed target for European Nato members is 2% of GDP on defence by 2024.

President Trump had urged the other countries in the alliance to increase that to 4% of GDP.

In 2020, 10 Nato countries (in addition to the US) reached or exceeded the 2% target - two more than in 2019 including for the first time, France and Norway.

The rest (including Germany, Italy and Spain) spent below that in 2020, even though they've all increased their spending as a percentage of GDP since 2014 (when the 2% target was agreed).

Germany indicated in 2019 that it wouldn't reach the 2% target until 2031.

Nato members also pledged that by 2024 at least 20% of their defence expenditure should go on acquiring and developing equipment.

On this measure, most Nato members in 2020 spent at least that proportion or more on equipment, although Germany and Canada still spent less than 20%.

And last year, European Nato members and Canada increased their major equipment expenditure by an average of more than 11% on the amount spent in 2019.

And any such cease fire, just goes to Russia’s advantage, unless we plan to continue arming Ukraine faster than Russia can rebuild it’s weapons.

- - - - - - -

You think the US should borrow money from China to give to Ukraine while there are expected cuts to Social Security.

Who cares? It's not our fight. We've got enough problems here in the US. We don't need to step into every regional conflict in the world.

Have you forgotten George Washington's admonishment about avoiding foreign entanglements?

I appreciate the cogent dialogue. Thank you. The monetary dimension is totally legit.

This isn't a poke in the eye, but a serious reply.

I would suggest that every Freeper should sit down and review Ron DeSantis'Donal Trump's pre-2016 background carefully. Just list up to a half-dozen (or more) things that stand out from his biography -- Ivy League (twice) lawyerMBA ... brief tenure at the DOJ in Chapter 11... career politician supporter of abortion and gay rights ... never worked outside inside government ... etc. If you read that biographical profile and didn't associate it with a specific person, you'd swear it fit the profile of a "Deep State" Perot-like political operative to a T.

Again, I am not all-in on DeSantis. Winning in Florida is like winning the AAA World Series. The demons in DC aren't like the gators in Tallahassee.

Having said all that, I find the drama and veracity of many anti-Trump and anti-DeSantis factions to be akin to be that of the red and black ant jar-shaker.

The primaries can't happen soon enough.
