The DeSantis administration is revoking the Hyatt Regency Miami's alcohol license after one of its facilities hosted "A Drag Queen Christmas" with minors present in the audience.
According to the complaint, "A Drag Queen Christmas" updated its advertising to say that the show contained "adult content" and was recommended for people 18 and up, unless accompanied by an adult.
The Department of Business and Professional Regulation filed a 17-page complaint Tuesday against the show's venue, the James L. Knight Center, which is affiliated with Hyatt. The department said performers were "wearing sexually suggesting clothing and prosthetic female genitalia," as well as simulating masturbation.

I can’t answer for the Freeper you addressed, but I can answer for myself.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I was young and had a lot of gay friends. I lived in South Florida and you couldn’t swing a cat without hitting gay men.
Back in the early 80’s (when I last went) drag shows were basically guys dressing up as women and lip syncing to dance music. Some danced as well. There were a lot of straight men who did drag as well, for whatever reason. It was weird. It didn’t really come across as sexual.
BTW, at the time, a lot of really good looking women hung out with the gay men because they didn’t feel threatened. When they found out I was straight it was “wow, you are secure enough to hang out with gay men?”
And no, I didn’t hand out with gay men all the time. I probably went to three drag shows in as many years. One of the times I brought my girlfriend. She was a fundamentalist Christian who attended Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church - led at the time by Dr. D. James Kennedy - and she was particularly confused as to what all the fuss was about. Frankly, PDA’s in the gay community were kind of rare at the time and you could have been in a straight night club for all the “action” going on.
