How Did We Get Here: The Coming Standardization for Policy Implementation of ESG
American Instittute for Economic Research ^ | Kimberlee Josephson

Posted on 03/14/2023 7:56:35 AM PDT by Wuli

he acronym ESG (representing environmental, social, and governance criteria for investment and business metrics) gained mainstream attention in 2020, and has since been political fodder for those wishing to weigh in on wokewashing matters.

The backlash over ESG has been strong, evidenced by the fact that anti-ESG regulatory developments have outpaced those that are pro-ESG over the past few years, largely due financial concerns over taxpayer dollars. The ESG industry, however, shows no signs of slowing down, and initiatives seem to be ramping up on a global scale. As such, it is worth considering how we got here, who is in charge, and what lies ahead.

How It Started In 1986, the Declaration on the Right to Development (RtD) was put forth by the UN Commission for Human Rights, and it proclaimed RtD to be “an inalienable human right by virtue of which every human person and all peoples are entitled to participate in, contribute to and enjoy economic, social, cultural and political development.” In conjunction with RtD, the concept of a New International Economic Order (NIEO) emerged, positing that an economic foundation was a necessary factor for safeguarding human rights.

Taken together, the RtD and NIEO concepts created a call to action for the financial sector to play its part in global affairs. Development, after all, doesn’t come free. As such, the curtailing of investments, as well as the attainment of financial assistance, became a core focus for the UN shortly thereafter.

ESG should be mocked as ‘Liberalism scale’ that it is.

Everything you need to know about ESG you can learn from the Tesla experience. Tesla was considered an ESG rock star company from making EV's and solar equipment. But as soon as Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, said he was going to quit voting Dim, Tesla's ESG rating tanked.

It's not like Tesla quit making EV's and started making gas guzzling SUV's. It's not like Tesla quit making solar equipment and started making oil rig equipment. The only thing that changed is the CEO is no longer voting Dim.

That tells us that ESG is just a butt kissing to Dims score, no more, no less.

Correct. It is based on nothing but a company's oath to the WEF Gleichschaltung.

It seems from this article that this system is spreading over the entire economy . Once that is all in place and the economy pretty much ceases growing it will start to cover the population as Social Credit with a different name and will come in with digital currency. I think this is in the fairly near future and I don’t think it can be stopped unless the country breaks up. Elections will make no difference because they are no longer real. I fear DeSantis running for President because that will leave Florida bereft when his gains for the state need his complete tenure to consolidate the gains and make more gains. That and with rigged elections accepted by all the politicals neither he nor any other Republican will win the “election” in 2024.

Combine that with a culture where 85% of Americans obey without question and take trumps vax. That is holocaust level obedience. Biden stepped on the gas and finished by stripping every critical instit, like armed forces and healthcare of reasonable, rational people who are not just part of the borg.
They are now chemically castrating and cutting off breasts of teens.
America is finished.. we hid in our homes and let a Republican shut us down, take away everyday freedoms.
There is no coming back from that.
He gave them mail in ballots and they know they have full control of the masses. They aren’t wasting this opportunity.

This is not hard to trace the beginnings. This will end in communism, death and destruction.

The beginnings? We allowed the left to take control of the educational system. Now, people under 40 are fully groomed. Unable to think for themselves and desirous of all the wonders that communism will bring their way. And it’s not just the masses, much of the executive staff at corporations have been groomed to “know” ESG makes for a better world.

This train has left the station, with no brakes and no conductor.

“The run away train is being controlled by the mentally ill who we pander to instead of pounding them into the ground”

Couldn’t agree more. Our society has become so soft that we are too timid to confront the mental illness that spreads in the name of social justice.

We, as a nation, are getting what we deserve.

Every policy pushed by big corporations is nothing more than a way to destroy competition. These huge companies don’t give a crap about how many trannies and fat black lesbians they have working for them. They can afford to keep these useless leeches on the pay roll. Smaller companies can’t.

New International Economic Order

When you see the word "New" applied to a school, public organization or associated with the U.N. it is used as a synonym of "Communism" (including other forms of Totalitarianism too).

“How Did We Get Here in this Hand Basket?........................”

The genesis of this was the concept of “stakeholder”, as contrasted to “stockholder”.

The idea of “stakeholder” is that it should not just be stockholders that determine the course of a corporation, (has a voting right) , but the public in general, since it is impacted by what a company does (environmentally, socially, how it treats its workers) and therefore has a “stake” in how a company operates.

So they claim that they should have a say-so on how a company does things even though they have no financial skin in the company like stockholders do.

ESG is how they are going to get that power. And guess who is going to control ESG?

It’s basically an attempt by the left to take control of corporations - and so far it has been quite successful... and they’re just getting started.

You got to give credit to these termites - they can me quite clever coming up with destructive schemes. We need to get better at fumigating them.

True that. In many ways they are very religious about what they do. Certainly the leaders do it for power and wealth. But their followers follow them in cult like fashion.

Imagine who great our country and even our world would be if us Christians followed Christ as diligently as the political left's cult followers follow the left.

That is the absolute truth. The leftist activists are the new fervid, take no prisoners, missionaries.

So called Christians have become meek cheek-turners who fold under the slightest pressure.

All the left has to do is accuse “Christians” of lack of “compassion” for some dysfunctional group or other and they fold. After all, they wouldn’t want to be accused of being “haters”, would they?
