Sometimes there might not be quite enough IRS agents to get taxes received from taxpayers & reviewed in a timely manner.
Other than that, I’d say any extra personnel were needed much more at the border or maybe in the Armed Forces,but mainly at the border.

I think we should develop a portion of the new agents say, 80,000 of them or so, To be test slowly with auditing politicians and watching to see if they are taking any kind of bribes. Which brings up another topic I saw that the IRS work recently said that thieves need to report to fair market value of any items they stole, I wonder if they also said that politians should be reporting the fair market value on their taxes of any bribes they receive.
