Ron DeSantis slammed President Joe Biden for laughing at a mom who lost her children to fentanyl overdose and then went after Donald Trump's COVID response in his first appearance in Iowa - as his presidential campaign announcement looms.

The Republican governor of Florida made his first appearance in Iowa ahead of a report that he's telling people he will run for the White House next year.

In his remarks, DeSantis went after two of his biggest foes: Trump, who would be his greatest obstacle in the race for the GOP presidential nomination, and Biden, whom he would likely battle if becoming the Republican nominee.

To be honest, I really don’t care about the brothers deaths. Bad parenting and just thinning the herd.

This is from the U.K.

Virtually no MSM outlet in the US will give DeSantis an outlet to say “Biden doesn’t care”.

This report is a psyop. There is a group of folks who think we are going to get over a rigged election and all the death that was caused because of it and because those in charge did nothing. Trump said it. Trump is our justice, there is no accountability possible if Trump doesn’t retake the Presidency. Now, if Ron wants to come out and say the vaccines must be stopped immediately and that the election was rigged and stole from Trump... Then I am listening... If Ron wants to pretend that the election wasn’t stolen and that the vaccines aren’t killing folks then I will wind my watch as you guys go through your struggle session.

I am pro Trump but DeSantis isn’t wrong with the COVID scam and how the Deep State played Trump, a known germaphobe, into letting the lockdowns start.

The adults have to step in shortly and establish Trump/Desantis ‘24 to save the country. Too much is at stake. This blood letting bickering must stop now.

Yes, Trump was a bit gullible in trusting the Fauci/pharmaceutical complex.

He forgot he was not in a private business anymore, but in government where no one can be trusted.

During COVID, the world lost its mind, when common sense suddenly became an uncommon virtue, the state of Florida stood as a refuge of sanity,' he said. 'We were a citadel of freedom for people all over this country and even around the world that would come.'

Bullsh*t! DeSantis threatened fines and jail time when I wanted to fly to Florida in 2020 to see my relatives. I was required to self quarantine for 14 days.

The lock downs were led by the State. Florida was open and kids were back in school by August 2020. New York, California and Illinois were not. Trump had nothing to do with the lock downs except for the first Flatten the Curve bull that came out of Fauci and the CDC. Should Trump have override Fauci and the CDC in March and April of 2020?

The biggest mistake Trump made was in declaring a 'state of emergency'. That action filtered down through the states which in turn declared their own states of emergency which of course created little tinhorn dictators. Trump should have never declared a state of emergency, period.

DeSantis is an enemy as far as I can tell. To be trusted as much as Romney. I am confident Senator DeSantis will also show his true ways one day

Really? And on what basis was he to do as you suggest? Monday Morning Quarterbacking by so many on this site is simply amazing.
The President was to by the heads of the CDC, PhD’s in Epidemiology that this Viral Outbreak would be as bad and potentially Worse than the Spanish Flu. Many MILLIONS of Americans will DIE! Leading Pharmaceutical companies were echoing this.
What is he to do given the info provided by so many professionals in Epidemiology telling the man that many MILLIONS of lives are at risk?
Trump himself NEVER called for nationwide lockdowns. Never called for nationwide masking. In fact, he correctly mentioned that HCQ, Zinc, D3, and over-the-counter flu medicine appear to be very effective in combatting the virus.
The result was he was VICIOUSLY ATTACKED 24/7/365.
Turns out he was correct.

I think shutting down the borders could have been understandable in March 2020. That was Trump’s instinct. I think it may have been his instinct to be cautious the first month. I definitely didn’t support that but I understand him. After that Trump’s instinct was to let it all open back up. He didn’t follow his instincts in the end and that was his failing. He wanted to open it all up by resurrection Sunday. That’s what he should have done. I think that’s the one time he did what he thought was politically expedient. He should have followed his instinct.

Yes. But laughing at them is at least bad form and at most can and will be used to say Trump doesn’t care about kids.

The political environment is crazy and is pandering to the worst of America. Are the politicians with the highest profiles so bad that they can only accuse each other? Why are those celebrity candidates not focused on telling us about what good things they can do?

Reasonable people took reasonable precautions against the virus at first: not too much, not too little. They went on about their lives without fear. Some people reacted hysterically. Some are hysterical and still rattling on about it to this day. It’s past. Get over it.

The madly increased drug problem of today started with marijuana. Weed has become a religion for many. Start solving the problem with honesty about that. It’s up to all of us—not the politicians.

Or continue going nuts and suffering. I wonder if the popularity of drug abuse has something to do with crazy political speech in social media.

True that President Trump did not call for mandates or lockdowns. His advice to individuals was reasonable and wouldn’t have hurt the economy. Large numbers of hysterical people hurt the economy.
