Former President Donald Trump revealed today that Richard Nixon’s “biggest regret” was giving in to GOP pressure to resign during the Watergate impeachment crisis, a move the 45th president said he wouldn’t have made.
“His daughter actually told me that his biggest regret was that he didn't fight, he should have fought,” Trump said, without identifying which daughter. But, he added, Nixon lacked the public support needed to carry on.
“I'm not sure that that had an impact one way or the other,” he said, had Nixon resisted.
In a media roundtable to discuss the April 25 release of the president’s second post-presidency book, Letters to Trump, Secrets asked about his relationship with Nixon shown over 25 letters included in the book published by Winning Team Publishing, founded by Donald Trump Jr. and adviser Sergio Gor.

“Nixon beat McGovern in a massive landslide = NOT ALLOWED Trump beat Hillary = NOT ALLOWED”
The media and the Democrats (but I repeat myself) were as slimy in the 70s as they have been in the last decade.
And Trumps biggest problem is that he too just quit.
That election was STOLEN from him. And we all knew it. Even Democrats.
On what planet did Trump quit?
I wasn’t alive during Watergate, but the GOP is so weak.
Nixon should have disavowed that idiocy, thought up by John Dean to retrievw incriminating evidence against his wife.
We’ll see how trump does.
Sounds like he’ll have his chance to show how he’snot a quitter.....he’s about to be endicted on some bullshit charges in New York.....he might wanna focus on that not something that happened 50 years ago.
Nixon knew that he was going down. He recognized he had lost his political base.
Self awareness is a good trait in life.
Nixon set the outline for disposing of popular Republican Presidents by the crooked media and Democrats. Mark Felt was a precursor of the FBI insider ‘coup’ department orchestrator.
I still remember the front page of the tabloid newspaper THE STAR headline. JEAN DIXON SAYS NIXON WILL NOT RESIGN!
It hit the news stands the very day Nixon resigned. I now wish I had bought a copy.
Ten years later Dixon’s publicity department was claiming she had predicted the resignation. NO SHE DID NOT!
For those who don’t remember Jean Dixon, in the 1950s up till her death she was considered an accurate psychic. I cannot remember any “prophecies” she made that came true.

Trump said he would never have quit like Roberto Duran did against Sugar Ray Leonard.
Earth. Third planet from Sol. The one you currently inhabit.
I remember seeing the Star headline. JEAN DIXON SAYS NIXON WILL NOT RESIGN! and the small print said “until Noon today.” Jean covered all her bases.
looking back at Nixion it is obvious to me that Nixion had a deep state hit on his Presidency. the same individuals that did the hit on trump were the interns and the new to DC political crowd that are involved in the Jan 6th recreation of a Reichstag burning. this last 10 years has been verry educational to me when viewing past events that got highly politized. I now look on past history with healthy a skeptics mind as to what I am being told happened.,
I can’t locate the retrospective Nixon interview now although I have probably 10-12 books just about Nixon (Pat Buchanan’s two are the best) there was the usual interview question about why he stopped fighting.
Nixon said “When I heard the Democrats had made the decision to go after me criminally I decided I should resign rather than have the presidency tarnished like that.”
Nixon says he would have fought COVID, quitting 2020 election was Trump’s ‘biggest regret’.
Although it was a travesty of justice, and Nixon didn’t do anything that warranted his removal, he was doomed. There was no internet, nor conservative talk radio; and thus, no way to get out an alternative message. The Commie loving Mainstream Media was 100% against him, and that was the only message getting sent.
Nixon might have been a mediocre President (giving Mao a blank check, weakening our currency, etc), but he was overthrown by a coup. Watergate, and its coverup, was a nothing.
The clown car of “attorneys” pretending to “stop the steal” were beyond embarrassing. All hat, no cattle.
This was his big fight?
Typical
Nixon was a pinko rhino.
