Previously unseen footage shines a spotlight on Attorney General Garland’s duty to disclose evidence in possession of the government.
Attorney General Garland, in the wake of the disclosures of footage from government cameras showing the “QAnon Shaman,” Jacob Chansley, being guided through the Capitol by uniformed police on January 6, 2021, has an obligation to bring, if he hasn’t done so already, the evidence to the attention of Chansley’s lawyers and the court.
That is the opinion of one of America’s leading defense lawyers, Harvey Silverglate of Boston.

Lol! 👍
“has an obligation”
Well, he HAD an obligation. Still does, of course, but that obligation did not just begin when Carlson played the footage on television. It started before the case ever went to trial.
From what I remember, the “shaman” guy made no secret at the time that he had previously been involved with leftist causes like Occupy Wall Street.
Here’s a discussion regarding the Brady rule which requires the prosecutor to provide any exculpatory evidence to the defense.

right.
he’s a part time actor that likes to get dressed up in this sensational outfit to draw attention to these events.
Just watched the re-run of Greg Kelly’s show from last night where he interviews Martha Chansley, Jacob’s mother.
She said Jacob’s spirits are good, doing well in the Safford, AZ federal prison.
She told Greg that Jacob was not happy with his attorney nor was she.
She had no idea if that attorney saw the footage Tucker showed.
I have learned that he has a new, much better lawyer and hope that he will get justice for Jake.
BTW She said he would like to be called America’s Shaman.
Yep, not creating a sign in, sorry.
Actors have done stranger things to get their mugs on television.
I believe (but haven't researched to refresh my memory) that they were told the recordings were classified due to "methods and assets" of security of the Capitol and Congress.

Evidently there is a separation of powers issue. DOJ can't subpoena congressional documents. They were/are working with documents that congressional leadership handed over to DOJ.
He needs to get a lawyer different from the one he originally had — someone who wants to win. Shaman’s mother said the guy was bad. maybe a Public Defender? IDK.
Well he did pray without prior approval.
The Dems and their cronies should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
(As if that would ever happen.)
There was no defense.

My client, Jake Chansley, was a big part of Tucker’s first big rollout of video tonight.
There is a story beyond just the fact that the Govt had video Jake’s attorney never looked at.
Jake is set to be released from custody soon.
He’s going to tell his story.
But Jake has also committed himself to helping me raise money so I can get into cases for J6 defendants earlier than I was able to get into his.
I’ve spend 20 or more hours talking to Jake by phone.
He’s a very interesting young man and I look forward to meeting him in person.
It is quite fortuitous that these videos are coming out around the same time as he might first be able to address them himself.
This is the way I’m able to help Jake — I’ve never asked him for a singe dollar — and other J6 defendants.
Generous contributors are helping them.

Thanks. Good to know. Chansley’s mother (on Stenchfield, I think) was not impressed. Let’s hope this works out for all of them.
So congress withheld evidence that could have freed people.
Isn’t that some kind of crime for us peons?
I watched Martha Chansley on Greg Kelly’s Show.
She said neither she nor Jake felt that he was well served by his old attorney.
I think he is in much better hands now.
“I watched Martha Chansley on Greg Kelly’s Show.”
Oh, right. I was thinking it was on Stinchfield, but now that you mention it, she was on Greg Kelly. He has an excellent show. Last night, he didn’t do a repeat of every other show regarding the tapes; he came from other perspectives.
And Mom was not enthusiastic about that attorney.
I am no lawyer but how would this work since he plead guilty. That was the tactic of the kangaroo courts. Threaten a sentence of with 20 years in Club Fed or plea down and condemn Trump in a public spectacle.
