Former first lady Michelle Obama’s said Monday in a preview of her new Audible podcast that “there weren’t that many people” at former President Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2016.
Obama said, “We were at the inauguration, and we know whose inauguration we were at. That day was so emotional for so many different reasons. We were leaving the home we had been in for eight years, the only home our kids really knew. They remembered Chicago, but they had spent more time in the White House than anywhere, so we were saying goodbye to the staff and all the people who helped to raise them. There were tears. There was that emotion.”

I was there. The Mall was packed. The city was packed. I saw the Obama’s fly away in Marine 1, hoping they were gone forever. Shortly after, they were in Georgetown, directing the Deep State intifada against Trump.

I was at the Inauguration, too, standing on the Capitol lawn within the ropes. I could see what she could see. There were people all the way back to the Washington Monument, and there were hundreds, if not thousands of people turned away because of the ginned-up threats of violence that were part of the left’s resistance against Trump.
