California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has left the state on “personal travel” as thousands of desperate residents remain trapped in snow-bound mountain communities where the National Guard failed to arrive as promised.
Newsom belatedly declared a state of emergency on Wednesday, March 1 — a week after a blizzard swept the state and stranded residents of Crestline, Lake Arrowhead, and other towns in the San Bernardino mountains.
As of Saturday, three days later, the California National Guard had failed to arrive in Crestline. The Los Angeles Times reported:
On Saturday, desperate San Bernardino County residents were wondering when National Guard troops would arrive. Residents said hundreds of people have lined up for food, dog food and firewood in recent days at community distribution events. Many of them left empty-handed, according to residents who spoke to The Times.
Residents are running out of food and medicine. Some are still trapped in their homes, where snowdrifts several feet high are blocking access to driveways and doors. And people are starting to panic about rescue.

Gavin is blowing a chance to be a hero, but then, that might be too toxic for such a wienie.
What does he care? The media and Democrat party will cover for him, to them, he is a hero.
I remember when he mandated restaurants close during the “pandemic” and that everyone wear a mask while in public - but then hypocritically ate at a $200/plate restaurant Napa, unmasked, indoors, with a group of his buddies - then lied about it. No repercussions then or at any time for his utter hypocrisy (such as sending his own kids to a private school that didn’t require masks).
He’s made of teflon, recently beating a recall in a landslide.
I fully expect the Democrats to run him for POTUS in 2024.
He beat the recall using the California fraud machine...illegals voting, ballot harvesting, dead people voting. I live in Cali and he isn’t well liked at all. He is Nancy Pelosi’s nephew which tells you all you need to know. If we don’t solve the massive vote fraud, he will likely be President.
IF NEWSOM cannot take care of Calif as he should be doing-—HOW CAN HE POSSIBLY take care of the entire USA & be considered “The Leader Of The Free World”????

You live on a remote mountain that gets lots of snow every winter...and you are out of food in a week? No stock of firewood?

Look around your house and think about being surrounded by 8 feet of snow...where I am, I suppose we could throw it over the cliff we live on...but all our entry doors would be blocked, and a lot of windows, as well as garage. It would be an emergency situation..

SACRAMENTO – Acting Governor Eleni Kounalakis today signed legislation to help maintain the state’s COVID-19 operational preparedness by codifying two emergency waivers regarding COVID-19 laboratory testing and therapeutics – statutory changes the Newsom Administration called for, and the Legislature expedited, this session.
AB 269, an urgency measure by Assemblymember Marc Berman (D-Menlo Park), authorizes qualified laboratory personnel to continue solely processing COVID-19 tests and permits COVID-19 testing sites contracted with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to continue dispensing COVID-19 therapeutics until January 2024.
