Oh please. There were three able adults in the house. They needed to get off their butt and get to work. Even the 74 year old father could have worked part time. These were lazy people who ultimately failed themselves.
What a crazy law!
In any state, I wouldn't want to be a landlord. But, the law should not permit squatters to stay in a house. Squatters should be arrested.
if you let a guest stay in your home for more than THREE days, they become an “at-will tenant”
When your family CELL phones are more important than the mortgage payment——you will have consequences
I'll bet you're right on this... very insightful Tired of Taxes. She might have caused the problem or been unable to deal with the reality of what was happening..
This isn’t a story of laziness. It’s a story about a narcissist.
The husband worked a full-time job, plus side gigs.

The son was in middle school, and the daughter is a college student.
Police think the woman (the killer) never told her family about the eviction.
So, she must’ve mishandled the money and lied to them. Then, she caught them by surprise and shot them all.
“People like this killer (the woman) have many secrets. They live double-lives. Then, they get caught up in their lies.”
weirdly, there was a time when you can just take off and disappear, assume a new identity and just “leave it all behind”
Thats damn near impossible today in the surveillance age. so if “escape” is not an option anymore, then ending the game seems to be only option for some.
Imagine if John List had simply ran away and escaped and started a new life instead of killing the whole family!
I knew people who mishandled money and then got caught up in lie after lie. But, I could be wrong about that theory in this case.
“Steven Cain was known as the lead singer of a local band, “Critical Khaos, which plays groove/thrash metal music, according to the band’s website.”
You would think that being lead singer of Ohio Township’s preeminent groove/thrash metal band would band would earn more than enough money to support a family, a kid in college and cover a mortgage on a three-acre estate.
The article didn’t mention it, but he had a full-time job, too:

Then there must have been some ‘off the book’ expenses that he and/or the murdering wife were engaged.
Cra cra eyes
Maybe so... Or maybe she was the only one with secret expenses.
Police say nothing in the house was packed for moving, so they think she never told the family about the eviction.
Some can’t deal with hard times and forget others have it worse but keep fighting for better times.
Life is a test you have to John/Jane Wayne it to the end.
That’s right - we all go through hard times. We pick ourselves up and keep going. That’s what life is about.
Agree men kind didn’t get this far by not fighting hard times.
