No. Stories in National Review carried these stories at the time

It seems that the Dem Presidents really dislike and mistreat the Secret Service agents. Similar reports came out regarding both the Clintons and the Obamas. Compare and contrast with the Reagans, the Bushes (who, even if not very good Presidents, were at least decent and respectful people) and Trump, all of whom went out of their way to be nice to these guys (including one report of Barbara Bush making hot tea and soup for the agents standing outside in the cold in Maine).

Democrats are ALL fakes - the profess to care about the people, but actually don’t give a rat’s ass (at best) or have contempt for ALL of us (not just the Secret Service and military).

From the 1976 Playboy article: “I’ve looked on a lot of women with lust. I’ve committed adultery in my heart many times. This is something that God recognizes I will do—and I have done it—and God forgives me for it”

It really is unfair to blame him for doing that. No one in their right mind could have imagined the America of today, except maybe the ancient Romans at the end of their Empire.

If you were known as the worst president ever until 2020 you would probably be “very short and rude most of the time” too.

His history looks in order and honorable to me...

October 1, 1924 - Born
December 7, 1941 - Japs bombed Pearl Harbor (he had just turned 17)
1942 - Studied in Georgia Tech’s Navy ROTC program for a year (age 18). Stiff competition to get into Naval Academy.
1942 - Appointed to Naval Academy (age 19)
1943 - Began training at the Naval Academy. Learned to fly the Navy’s seaplanes, trained on old battleships and learned to man 40-mm anti-aircraft guns.
1945 - At sea on a training cruise when atomic bombs dropped on Japs
1946 - Graduated from the Academy and started his career as an officer on the USS Wyoming and the USS Mississippi, testing new technologies at sea.
1948 - Transferred to New London, Connecticut for officer training school
October 9, 1953 - Honorably discharged; transferred to the retired reserve with the rank of lieutenant.

My Dad and his brother were born in 1924 and 1920 respectively and had similar records. My uncle was in mechanical engineering school, enlisted in the Army, and was sent to Oak Ridge to run a gaseous diffusion plant to enrich uranium. My dad enlisted in the Marines later, trained in California, and was part of the invasion force sailing to Japan when the bombs were dropped.

Not everybody born in the mid to late 20s saw combat. Obviously, if Japan had not surrendered, Carter would have been in the thick if it by late 1945 or early 1946.

The worst part is that when he dies, probably sooner than later, there will be weeks of gushing media tongue bath articles and documentaries on the most wonderful and humanitarian president. (Barf)

Carter was never... never a nuclear engineer. He graduated USNA with an engineering degree. Then took a few weeks of the NUPOC training in Idaho or tri-cities. He did not complete the course but he made political pal of Admiral Rickover who controlled the coming nuclear submarine and surface naval propulsion.

Carter’s father died, he left the Navy to run the peanut farm. Whatever he did... in Canada and the kudos from Rickover- ok, but what were the actual details of what happened and what was resolved, and by whom. The entire story is suspect because of the prelude build up to what a genius Carter was. He wasn’t.

More than style, Jimmah was a micro-micro manager, on everything right down to the WH room lights he kept switching off. His post presidency was on of rubber stamping foreign Marxist elections (Nicaragua, his friendship! with Fidel Castro, and any dictator he could certify including Mandela) marked him as a fellow traveler. His Carter center for Peace (80% funded by the former Saudi Royal Family— no more as bin Salman has taken over and gotten rid of errant princes and the ones who financed Carter like Talwaleed- who used to own large part of ABC and CNN.) Pro- Arabist anti Israel (of any kind of Israel- to be expected of a peanut farmer, and not a good one),

Research— this one article does not tell the story nor does any cursory look at wikipedia. Start with JPMorgan/Chase Manhatten who manipulated the Panama Canal changeover, so they could retire the bonds they financed back in
Teddy Roosevelt days. Truth.) Owned by global banks and Saudis- a disaster with Iran who treated the Shah terribly. A very small person, Carter. Right down to “giving up Southern Baptists” for their plantation history (another lie, baptists were the farm managers not owners). On an on.

Sorry to rant, but native Georgians know what BS Carter was and is. To complete, look for the photos of him with Confederate flags- just like the Clintons.

A friend of mine from church was Lyndon Johnson’s helicopter pilot. I asked his if Johnson was a evil as they say.

He told me that he could go from your favorite uncle to the devil incarnate in the snap of a finger.

Carter was heavily influenced, as were many naval nuclear propulsion officers, by Admiral Rickover... a humorless, compulsive work addicted task master who disliked "stupid people". Here is Carter's version of the dreaded Rickover job interview that stood in the path of every officer wanting to serve in the nuclear Navy.

“I don’t care who the president is, the Secret Service agent should keep their mouth shut. There is no excuse to soil Carter’s reputation especially while he is on his death bed. And if someone thinks it is, just wait until the same happens to Trump.”

I partially disagree. Yes, people - especially those in a position of trust - should keep their mouths shut. But given that most people don’t, I don’t think that anyone should be “off limits.”

Carter is second on my list of worst Presidents (and I am only sorry that the SOB lived long enough to be displaced by the anti-American Halfrican). Among many other things, he let the mullahs take over Iran, and we’re still living with that huge mistake. Multiple tens of thousands worldwide have been murdered by that regime since then, and he’s partially responsible. Why? Because he had the Deputy Allied Commander of NATO go to Iran and advise their military not to oppose Khomeini https://www.theguardian.com/world/iran-blog/2015/feb/11/us-general-huysers-secret-iran-mission-declassified ). The world is also now facing the possibility of a nuclear conflict in the Mideast, all because of Iran’s desire to build nukes and dominate the area (and, again, he’s partially responsible). He’s also a huge anti-Semite, as his speeches and writings since he left office prove. Now is the PERFECT time to recall what a piece of crap he was and is.

Just like with McCain, you have to separate Carter’s military service from his political career. Both deserve credit for serving (though there are strong negative rumors about McCain as a POW that I won’t cite because they are rumors), but both deserve immense condemnation for their actions as politicians (at least IMHO). They voluntarily entered that world, and being criticized is one of the consequences of their screw-ups.

He was a high school grad when Pearl was attacked, went to a college, then another college, and then in 1943 got into Annapolis with a graduation date of 1947.

He is a very careful and controlling individual and has a plan for everything, we can’t know for sure, maybe it just worked out for him.

Admitting to having sinned is common ground for everyone. Letting the devil publicly interview you, identify the sin(s), and broadcast his findings, is like letting him advertise how effective his demonic efforts are.

Which only encourages more of the sin, “since everybody does it”. /s

What is your point? You’re not supposed to say anything critical

The point is that the details in that article are gossip.

Now other responders have brought up some valid discussion.
