A Seattle school district is being forced to lay off employees amid financial turmoil that was caused by plummeting student enrollments.
Seattle Public Schools announced on Tuesday that some staff members have been notified they may lose their jobs to address a budget deficit.
"This week...we've issued some notifications to employees about they're being considered for 'RIF' and displacement so that is happening," said Dr. Brent Jones, SPS superintendent, at a school board meeting on Tuesday night.

I hope they have to lay off 80% of the administrators and 50% of the “teachers”. They are turning out illiterates and claim that is superior to home schooling.
Guess what group of entering college freshmen with a declared major has the lowest SAT scores? Yep. Education majors. Our (home schooled) daughter took the SATs at 13 and scored 350 points higher than entering college education majors average.
So yes, you...can...homeschool. IF you are willing to accept the loss of a second income. Priorities. You have to set them.
Rational decent people tend to have children. They are deserting Democratic run urban areas in droves. Most of the people who continue to live in these places do so because they share the values of those they elect and the bizarre policies that have been implemented.. If a person walked 1,500 miles and finds himself and his family in a place like Chicago, and stays, then you have to conclude that is where he wants to be.He knows how to move. No sympathy for people in Democratic urban areas.
Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach. Those who can’t teach, teach teachers.

........setting aside the tragedy of kids getting robbed by Liberals of a good education, it warms the cockles of my heart to see thousands of disgusting, gender grooming, Drag partying, Liberal teachers being fired across the U.S.
There are statutes conceived by liberals and passed into local law by liberals but when it comes to their kids 80% of parents will just up and move!!! Hooray for them! Effectively they are shooting the finger at the politicians. And, that’s a good thing.
And, why are they fired?

Amid all the insanity & destruction of the Plandemic, a wonderful result is so many parents witnessed the public school indoctrination, & are either homeschooling, or using private education. One favorite was when an Ivy League college had the students return to the dorms but EVERYTHING, all classes were still online. I imagine more than a few parents ceased wasting $$$ on that.
Also, their was another Ivy League student who lived in South Korea and attended everything online. Even when some students were returning to campus, he continued online in South Korea. One semester, he was trying to register for the next semester, and the Registrar kept insisting that he provide proof of vaccination. No matter what way he phrased the situation, the truth, that he was/is 7,000 MILES AWAY, and there is no possibility of any Covid-19, flu, or cigarette smoke traveling 7,000 miles to destroy the campus, the Registrar refused to let him continue his education at that university unless he provided proof of vax. He transferred to a different university.

School administration is bloated and overpaid anyway. Knock out a chunk of that workforce and return authority to teachers and we might see a difference in the next generation.
