A Pennsylvania man was caught at an airport trying to sneak a bomb onto a flight to Florida inside his luggage this week, officials said.
Mark Muffley, 40, was due to board an Orlando-bound Allegiant Air flight at Lehigh Valley International Airport in Pennsylvania on Monday, when the explosive device was found in his checked bag, WPVI-TV reported Wednesday.
The small device set off an alarm as it was being screened by the TSA, according to the complaint against Muffley.
When agents then searched the bag, they found inside the lining a device that was about 3 inches in diameter. It was filled with a powder and had two fuses covered with wax paper and plastic wrap.
Muffley was then paged over the airport’s public address system, prompting him to flee. He was eventually arrested at his home later that night, WPVI said.
According to a criminal complaint, “the powder” found in the small bomb is suspected to be a mixture of flash powder and the dark granular that are used in commercial-grade fireworks.
“The baggage also contained a can of butane, a lighter, a pipe with white powder residue, a wireless drill with cordless batteries, and two GFCI outlets taped together with black tape,” the complaint said.

Did you see all the other things he had packed with it? He wasn’t planning to bomb the flight, but he definitely planned to do some damage to someone in FLorida.

And as is pointed out down thread, possibly by you, the components are effectively incomplete without a detenator device (which could be someone equipped with a match).
TSA hasn’t done anything in near twenty years and suddenly after some grumbles that they have to justify their continued existence we magically have this guy appear.

Aviation experts say the definition of an international airport doesn’t have anything to do with how large a facility is or how frequently flights head to overseas destinations.
An airport that features customs and border control facilities that allow passengers and freight to travel between countries is the key in determining whether it’s an international designation.

I saw this on the news last night. He looks rather dim-witted. I suspect that this is yet another FBI setup to distract attention away from the rail disasters, plane mishaps, and the Biden Crime Family. What better way to do that than to come up with a “white supremacist” plot to blow up an airliner?
