"We have a real UFO problem" (Not balloons): Quote from a Navy F/A-18 fighter pilot
Hotair ^ | 03/01/2023 | Jazz Shaw

Posted on 03/01/2023 7:20:07 PM PST by SeekAndFind

The quote in the title comes from a new op-ed published at Politico by Ryan Graves, a Navy F/A-18 fighter pilot who was one of many military officers who encountered anomalous objects in our restricted military airspace off the coast of Virginia in 2014. In the article, he reviews some of the recent activity of balloons (or “objects” or “balloon-like entities” or whatever we’re calling them this week) in American airspace and the Pentagon’s response to them. Graves has plenty of experience with UFOs because “those damn things” had been plaguing his fighter squadron for eight months during the period in question and he’s seen them up close and personal.

While Graves praises the Pentagon for improving our radar systems and other sensor data so we can more readily identify and, if appropriate, engage with unknown objects, he points out that balloons are not the only issue we need to be dealing with. And the things that he and his fellow pilots saw (and sometimes almost collided with) over the Atlantic Ocean were most assuredly not balloons.

Then came the hair-raising near misses that required us to take evasive action.

These were no mere balloons. The unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) accelerated at speeds up to Mach 1, the speed of sound. They could hold their position, appearing motionless, despite Category 4 hurricane-force winds of 120 knots. They did not have any visible means of lift, control surfaces or propulsion — in other words nothing that resembled normal aircraft with wings, flaps or engines. And they outlasted our fighter jets, operating continuously throughout the day. I am a formally trained engineer, but the technology they demonstrated defied my understanding.

After that near-miss, we had no choice but to submit a safety report, hoping that something could be done before it was too late.

Graves’ account was impressive and urgent enough that it caught the attention of Senator Marco Rubio. That makes sense since Rubio has been one of the Senators (along with Kirsten Gillibrand and others) who led the charge to investigate UFOs, writing legislation that created the Pentagon’s new UFO investigatory office, AARO.

Advanced objects demonstrating advanced technology are routinely flying over our restricted or sensitive airspace posing a risk to both flight safety & national security https://t.co/4bXEHuuaq0

One area where I’m not entirely sure how Graves views the situation comes with his praise of President Biden for ordering the creation of a new interagency UAP task force. On the one hand, I suppose that the more resources we bring to bear on this effort the better. But at the same time, we’ve just gone through years of debate and congressional wrangling to create the AARO office. Looking into these unidentified phenomena is the whole purpose of its existence. Will the new task force be sharing data so that nothing is missed? Will they be engaging in redundant efforts when we might make more progress if everyone is pulling on the same set of oars?

Ryan Graves is currently launching a new advocacy group called Americans for Safe Aerospace (ASA). This group will support pilots seeking to responsibly report anomalous activity and the skies and help develop more comprehensive reporting and analysis measures. They will also advocate for greater transparency from the government on the subject of UFOs and potentially related phenomena. I applaud this effort and hope he is successful.

In closing, Graves circles back to point out that we can’t simply ignore the balloons, particularly the ones that are conducting surveillance on behalf of our adversaries. (Though we should probably avoid shooting down the ones belonging to the Boy Scouts with sidewinder missiles in the future.) But we cannot afford to switch over to a collective mentality where everything is viewed as an adversarial balloon or drone. There are objects in our skies, in space, and under the water that are doing things we can’t explain. And we need to get to the bottom of it.

Funny how some people seem to think about aliens as those seen in movies and tv and think anything associated with them must comply with our laws of physics.

We see time as we’ve been taught. Whose to say 4 billion years to us might be as a second to something else. Whose to say these sightings aren’t ET but already here and have been? Maybe from the future or from the past.

I prefer to see where all this goes and hopefully get some answers in my remaining lifetime.

Aliens are far more believable then what I’m seeing going on in this country.

“our laws of physics”

Good post.

I always say “the universe is an outlaw” who laughs at human “laws” of physics.

The latest Hubbell telescope findings are good examples—galaxies where and when they are not supposed to be—as Greta says: “How Dare They?” Nobel winning scientists say they are impossible!

In a thousand years (if we are still around) today’s scientists will be laughed at as witch doctors.

That is what the “Russian Mengele children” story fed to Annie Jacobs was for—to prove that he was still “on the team”.

Jacobs was an outsider—and that hilarious garbage was the Nevada establishment giving her the middle finger.

As Knapp discussed the “Mengele children” fable was demonstrably false—but Jacobs did not have access to the Russian sources to prove it was garbage. If she was wise she would not have included it in her Area 51 book—but she just couldn’t resist—another victim of disinformation just like so many others.

“I am amazed that people like John MacArthur discard Gen 6 as useless (he says the Sons of God were just “great” men).”

A lot of Christians believe in the “angels could never mate with humans’ category though they ignore the actual translations from the Hebrew (ie strongs concordance or other sources.) as to what these “Sons of God” were. The Hebrew description in Gen 6 matches that of the Hebrew “sons of God” in the book of Job and the Hebrew term only appears twice. These Christians will try to minimize any kind of supernatural caused activity whether of the Holy Spirit or of devils. They need the universe to be calm and orderly and for God to be somewhat “distanced” from his creation with he in his lane and humans in our lane.

Some so called religious leaders who scoff at the “angel” mating” theory may not be scoffers at all but have their own dark reasons for bottling up such hybridization discussions...depending on the various Masonic or Luciferic or Illuminati affiliations they have. Any Christian with the light of God inside might bring enough attention to what Satan is doing now potentially with the human genome(whether with direct demonic means and/or unwitting human scientist dupes) to give away the game and to cause a great set back in Satan’s evil schemes. So the subject gets shushed and/or Christians get called kooks when they bring the subject up or get called “enemies of science”.

It seems no surprise to me that MacArthur looks at Gen 6 the way he does. I hesitate to ascribe to him any evil intent but Gen 6 is pretty black and white that Evil Angels left their domain and messed with human females and were chained and imprisoned for it in the deepest of hell(Tartarus is the word used) as described in Jude 1:6. Old guard guys like MacArthur just can’t imagine that Angels would have the power and means to do what they did directly with human woman; some display an almost victorian sense of disgust that some Christians would even “imagine” the idea of an angel mating with a woman.

The real truth is the Bible doesn’t really say what various angels’ limits are(with or without Godly light) but what little we do know suggests that at least some can transform into what ever or pretty much do with matter and with their own internal energies whatever they want to do.

I tried my hand at it years ago, but I wasn’t really good at it then.

Make it big enough to carry me too?

American airforce tried to recruit me when I was 18,but I was too impatient. They told me I’d have to come work for 6 months doing a job while they sorted my green card, and I felt I couldn’t wait that long. Apparently I was the perfect size for the 16s.

"I don't think the gov has ever confirmed that"

You are waiting for government confirmation of something? Seriously?

No, I’m not waiting for anything.

In the statement I was replying to, what the government does and does not know was central to the point the other poster was trying to make and thus my reply was necessarily conditioned by that context.

Frankly I think this entire thread began with the context of what the government says it knows and does not know. I don’t personally care what the gov confirms or doesn’t confirm, it’s just the subject being discussed here.
