I’m just pointing out that the CDC keeps telling us “It’s the next BIG disease.” But it never is. Of course, ten million third-worlders pouring over the southern border means it really COULD be the next big disease.
Oh no! I need lots of shots and masks and stuff. I need to go to the store and buy up all the toilet paper and bread and then freak out. I’m skeered.

I am new to the awareness of the Bird Flu. Public awareness to this disease is on the same level as the UFO issue. I have no clue to its future implications. I have read of a 53% human fatality rate, but that rate may because of the low sample. Only 868 humans have been infected, so far. However, more than 60 million birds have either died as a result of bird flu virus infection or have been culled due to exposure to infected birds. With that high death rate, I become paranoid. Will the poultry that we depend upon develop immunity? Like my mom would say, “An ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure.” I fear that pound of cure might mean the death of millions of people.
