There are no truth tellers - just political entrepreneurs selling a pitch to gain personal power and glory. The question I ask? Is he moving the ball closer to where I want it to be? Chip Roy is moving the ball in the opposite direction by stoking division in his own party. The fact that he’s a vicious scumbag will be remembered when Republicans from swing districts have to vote on politically difficult legislation he sponsors. He should do himself, the GOP and his constituents a favor and run as an independent.

Nixon was a Republican. Have you not figured out how it works yet? Republicans will turn on their own with almost no inducement at all. Democrats will just about never do that.
Never say never. There is a breaking point. The Democrats have tried for an encore of Watergate for so long, it’s no longer a thing. Boy crying wolf. They only take it seriously themselves because they have no self-awareness.
But catching a Democrat totally red-handed doing something heinous, such as treason and collusion with China, that will be man-bites-dog, and once proven, it will be a paradigm shift. It hasn’t happened yet. But it’s coming.
