Mass media is in its death throes. CNN is likely insolvent by now, and certainly not profitable. Facebook is passe. Tiktok might be taken off American devices soon by bi-partisan action. There is at last a consensus that China is the enemy, even in Congress. Twitter is likely going to go broke, too. Musk did the world a favor by blowing their grift wide open, but that won’t make it solvent with no advertisement and no marketing of personal info. It’s corporate dead weight.

So who’ll be bombarding people?

I watched Democrat-controlled HORs stonewall the plans of Republican presidents for years.

I never have bought into that lily livered GOP argument “but we can’t do anything with just the House/Senate/Presidency.”(fill in the blank)

Stonewalling is do-able at present and highly advisable.

[What can be done with only one house, is block hair-brained and evil legislation and appropriations. And investigate.]

Democrats haven’t pushed anything through since the GOP House majority was won. Chip is basically a deceitful drama queen who would suit the role better if he wore a dress and lisped.

[What people on the border can do is shoot the G-d damned Coyotes as they shepherd people across the Rio Grande. But after a time or two they’ll be laying for them, so that’s got to be hit and run and not entirely adequate, and there may be casualties. Chip, I think, with his references to the Rangers and the Alamo, was hinting at just that, though he da’sn’t say so explicitly.]

All I can say is - maybe Chip should lead by example. This scenario is basically a one-way ticket to a Supermax prison. Frankly, anyone thinking of going this route would be better off launching an actual insurrection. The insurrection would have higher odds of getting things turned around and the risk to life and limb wouldn’t be too different.

What some people can’t get their heads around is the fact that this is a country where people decide things through elected representatives decided more or less (thanks to some influence from crooked votes) at the ballot box. Fact is - things haven’t gotten quite bad enough for voters to completely turf the Dems. But that day will come - sooner than anyone thinks.

“Chip is great!” wrote Eleutheria5.

Yup, he’s great, alright. But, he’s also a bit on the stupid side if he doesn’t see the RINO’s for what they are...dhimmicrap lite.
I love his theatrics, certainly. But, let’s get real. The GOPe to whom he was talking were not listening...just as they have not listented for the last 45+ years.

[You are a complete idiot. Tell us you moron who you think the truth tellers are in the Senate or the House?????????????]

We don’t need retard Chip to repeat to us what we already know - that we don’t have the legislative majorities needed to reverse any of the laws passed before the GOP gained its House majority in January. His self-absorbed rants don’t change anything. If he wants to lead an army to whack the Democrats and put them in a mass grave, he is welcome to get going today. Until then, he can shut up about being some kind of truth-teller. We know the truth and truth is we lack the necessary votes for a roll-back, short of a successful coup followed by large scale massacre, similar to Franco’s and Pinochet’s purges. No amount of rants against his fellow Republicans by Chip will change that.

Not if it’s done right. Read Revolt in the Holy Land by Menachem Begin, Anarchist’s Cookbook, and other literature about underground action. If Chip did that kind of work himself (doubtful at his age or mine [I can talk about it, and they can’t extradite me from Israel]), nobody who didn’t need to know should ever find out who did what and when. Just that it was done.

I get where you’re coming from, but there’s a reason Death Wish is a movie and not a documentary. Most people don’t make it their mission in life to accomplish GOP objectives even at the risk of their own lives. And I get it. If it’s important enough to the general public, it will vote to get those things done without any drama. It’s just that we’re not there yet.

All politics goes through a dialectical process. There is action, reaction, then synthesis. The Dems are overplaying their hand. We are swinging back. Groot lost her re-election bid in Chicago - the first Chicago mayor to do so in 40 years. That’s a sign.

Chip Roy is my congressman-his district is mostly rural areas-like this one-and small towns/cities-all bright red-ranchers, farmers, gone Galt types and small business/tourist trap owners. He may be rude, but he is well liked for doing what he was hired for, and his take-no-bulls***/ in your face attitude-most of us voters are very much the same...

“You have to treat it as a long-term, multi-front to bring people back to theirs senses.”

Fine, just don’t ask me to pretend one speech on the floor of Congress that only people who are already political junkies might hear is going to have any effect. It won’t.

“Or we could just fold up shop and retreat to our few and shrinking safe spaces.”

Well, there are only a zillion other alternative strategies available between “rail ineffectually on the floor of Congress” and “give up entirely”. Don’t blame me if you can’t imagine any.

“What can be done with only one house, is block hair-brained and evil legislation and appropriations. And investigate.”

Well, yes we can do “gridlock”, if they have the guts to take the blame for it. Which they probably won’t when the going gets rough. But on a lot of things, sure. But investigations are just play acting, because they won’t lead anywhere at all.

“Chip, I think, with his references to the Rangers and the Alamo, was hinting at just that, though he da’sn’t say so explicitly.”

Maybe Chip can use what power he has, which is more than most people, to help that rancher who is currently being prosecuted for doing just what he might have been suggesting. Not likely many others will take him up on the suggestion when they see people who do it hung out to dry.

“I watched Democrat-controlled HORs stonewall the plans of Republican presidents for years.”

All it takes is passion and determination—hard to find with Republicans these days.

Alinsky’s “Rule for Radicals” works.

If the Republicans used them the Democrat Congress-critters would be retiring in droves.

” if they have the guts to take the blame for it.”

You are only playing defense if you are not playing offense.

The minute the Republicans stop attacking the Democrats they lose the edge.

“Mass media is in its death throes.”

I have to disagree. Maybe “mass media in its current form” is in its death throes. But we are in the midst of the information age, with people demanding and consuming information in amounts never before seen in history. And they aren’t consuming, by and large, the classics of western literature, or academic treatises. They are demanding and being served up entertainment, and “infotainment”, by the same type of people who run the “traditional” mass media, even if they are operating under 1000 different “media aggregator” companies on the internet now.
