city elections that dont happen in November often have horrible turnout. In my city as low as a 100 people vote for city council members sometimes if they do the election in May instead of November.

What is deeply disturbing is that according to your chart she STILL comes in third place! What is the matter with the electors? After all her horrible deeds against Chicago she should have been in last position off ALL the candidates.

Brandon Johnson is a straight male version of Lightfoot, and will continue the downward spiral. Vallas might stabilize things a bit, but he’s still a pile of horse manure, as he slandered DeSantis with the “right-wing extremist” label when he visited Illinois.

As a kid in the 60’s it was an AWESOME place to go at Christmastime. Just MAGICAL in every respect. And safe. Me, Mom & Grandma, wandering around free. Never a single problem.
Even in the 90’s friends and I were taking the train from Wisconsin down to Chicagoland - the train station ALONE was something to see. And again, a group of women, roaming around alone, never hassled by anyone - not even a panhandling bum. We drove down for many Broadway Shows. We saw ‘Cats’ and ‘Joseph’ and any number of singers that we liked at the time.
When two of my BFF’s girls were young and into everything ‘American Girl’ doll-related we took them to Chicago for a HUGE tea party thrown by then doll makers. (Before Mattel bought out Pleasant Rowland). Again, magical for them!
And when my boys were young, we’d take them to the museums and the Shed Aquarium for some ‘culture.’ Again, no problems. When I stayed in Chicago for work, I’ve run along Lakeshore Drive BY MYSELF in the wee hours of the mornings, right past Oprah’s high-rise building, enjoying a glorious sunrise and was never hassled or approached by anyone.
I miss Chicago. Seriously. Socialist Democrats destroy everything they touch. :(

My favorite restaurant on Michigan Avenue is permanently gone and major retailers and a bunch of minor ones are now gone, too.
My wife and I remember completely enjoying ourselves while walking the whole downtown area, and visiting all the the attractions, over a week. You've got to do the Museum of Science and Industry and the Natural History Museum, too, along with the Sears Tower, John Hancock building, the planetarium, the aquarium, Navy Pier, and so much more. You'd never feel unsafe, despite a bum occasionally wanting money.
What an incredible waste.
