Back during BalloonGate I looked at the base website.
The leadership bios are interesting:
Note the commander/Vice Commander of the missile wing, which is the important one at that base.
Also, the missing bio of the 5th Bomb Wing Vice Commander is a guy who looks like his CO. Apparently had to go in addition to the Supply/Logistics victims.
So the guys in charge of a significant portion of the nuclear deterrent are a couple of AA hires from nondescript state universities with meaningless liberal arts degrees. Not Academy grads, but obviously on the right side of Lloyd Autin's outlook about "what the air force should look like".
So likely the Bad Boys got taken out for some contrived reason and their replacements will be from the right racial/ethnic/gender identity cohort to please FJB's handlers.

Never got to Minot in the winter. At least at Minot you could get in and out in the winter. Up in Curlew you’d be stuck in the middle of nowhere right by the Canadian border.
Rumor has it that a group of physicians bought the old site thinking they might convert it to an inn or resort. When they got there and found out that the best way to get there was in a small plane and corkscrewing down to a bumpy grass field they backed out of the deal. They probably also asked the same question I did: Why are all the steam pipes up 7’ off the ground. LOL
